Publisher's summary

A wonderful collection of short stories by master storyteller Sir Terry Pratchett, featuring dragons, dinosaurs, cavemen and car races!

Dragons have invaded Crumbling Castle, and all of King Arthur's knights are either on holiday or visiting their grannies. It's a disaster!

Luckily, there's a spare suit of armour and a very small boy called Ralph who's willing to fill it. Together with Fortnight the Friday knight and Fossfiddle the wizard, Ralph sets out to defeat the fearsome fire-breathers.

But there's a teeny weeny surprise in store...

Fourteen fantastically funny stories from master storyteller Sir Terry Pratchett, full of time travel and tortoises, monsters and mayhem!

Story List:

CD 1: Dragons at Crumbling Castle, The Great Speck, Hunt the Snorry, Tales of the Carpet People (beginning)

kids listening

Great for a car ride with the kids. Stories are short enough to keep their attention, but long enough to fill a commute or quick trip. Several stories with a common theme quite easily allow combination for a 2 hour trip. Good bedtime story book as well.

Surprisingly good

The book's description indicates that this is more of a children's book, I decided to give it a go. I found the stories to be very entertaining, and not particularly childish - this book should appeal to all.

The narration was absolutely fantastic!

Excellent insight into early Pratchett

Any additional comments?

This is really a kids book. But for Pratchett fans it's a very enlightening look into Sir Terry's early writing, making it obvious how early on his genius blossomed.

Thanks and Farewell

Thoroughly enjoyable. Vintage Terry Pratchett. Yes, I realize these are children's stories, but they were still fun. Narrator was an excellent fit as well.

Dragons

A fun read by one of the best authors ever to live. The fact that he was 14 when he wrote some of these stories is remarkable.I loved the narration by Julian Rhind-Tutt.

Silly and wonderful

I’ve heard recently about the offer Terry Pratchett want to start with his earliest Work , this Work was recommended to me and I have to say I’m glad I started this. This collection of short stories is silly and guaranteed to make you happy.
