Exciting

Wow book five was a great adventure. The storyline was exciting and the characters are so much better with a voice of there own. The narrator did a great job can’t wait for more from this author.

So Ungrateful

This book elicited some basic feelings of animosity against the main character. Nova is so self-absorbed, selfish, and pitiful. The doc is my kind of man. I feel no empathy for pathetic Nova. Let’s weigh this; commitment vs life or death. Narrators did a good job with characters.

Wonderful and Frustrating!

The narration is absolutely perfect! I have no complaints.

The story its self is a great story no matter how frustrating you may become with the heroine. I myself wanted to smack some sense into her many times, but she has to find her own way as we all do. Sometimes it is much easier to see what to do from the sidelines than it is to see for yourself. That is what I learn from this book. I can see myself listening to this book well more than once. it is well worth the read.

Sweet surprise

This is book five in the series, but the first that I've listened to and I did not feel lost at all. It is about Drayke, a doctor on a ship full of recently freed alien and human slaves and Nova, a human gladiator. They meet when Nova is in a claiming match and things get out of hand. She needs his help or she will die. When they meet Drayke knows without a doubt that she is his fated mate and his bonding sickness starts. He doesn't want to burden Nova with his issues, but has no choice when it becomes apparent that he is not okay. However, Nova, being the youngest of nine and the only female, does not trust Drayke and does everything that she possibly can to not bond fully. There are ups and downs as well as flips and twists that will keep you enjoying this book until the end. Rich Miller and Kelsey Navarro are amazing with the narration. I received a copy of the audio book from AudioBook Boom and I have left my honest review.

Lovely Drayke needs damaged Nova

I first found this series in KU when I read Zar - that review is also due up next.
In this book we get to find out what a really decent and good guy Doctor Drayke sun Omrun is as he’s dealing with Nova who stirs his Dacian male bonding. In the balance of nature she is, of course, Drayke’s complete opposite and therefore fully unlikeable to me. It isn’t until the eleventh hour that we experience Nova’s revelations with her and come to understand why she’s been so obstinate.
Miller and Navarro do a decent job of narration. I really appreciate these types of dual male-female narrations.

The Doctor’s Story; Heartrending!

Finally, the story of beautiful, blue Dr.Drayke! It’s also the story of Nova, the female warrior, a valiant fighter in the ring but broken almost beyond repair.
You’ll find out how Nova, rescued and brought back from the edge of death by Drayke, learns the meaning of real courage.
This is another winner in Alana Khan’s Galaxy Gladiators. Narrated by Rich Miller and Kelsey Navarro, you’ll love their voices.

I instantly liked this book!

I instantly liked this book when I started listening. (I love it when that happens, knowing your in for a good read)
I expected (and got!) a hot Alien and steamy sex scenes, but I was surprised I really liked the writing, tone (mature, serious) and romance too.
I really really enjoyed this book!

This is book 5 in the ‘Galaxy Gladiators’ series, but can be read as a Stand-Alone book too. (it’s a completed story)
I haven’t read the previous books and enjoyed this one a lot.
There is a common thread though, so reading them in order is probably extra rewarding.
Hearing about former adventures made me curious and interested in the previous books in this series.

Narration is great, I liked both Rich and Kelsey’s voice a lot. Very professional.

Erotica with a side of sci-fi

This is primarily a love story. It is set in space, and sci-fi elements drive both the plot (there is one, sort of) and the romance. There is a real attempt at introspection and character growth, but I found it fell a bit flat near then end. I really liked the alternating perspectives— and that each perspective had a different, appropriate narrator for the character.

Not for me

Romance novels are not my cup of tea, but I thought the sci-fi would be more prevalent here. I was wrong. It's a full-on romance novel with small bits of sci-fi. I wasn't sold on anything, but listened nonetheless and struggled the whole way. If you're into romance novels and want something a little off-the-mark with sci-fi elements, you'll enjoy this. If you're really into sci-fi and want to try more romance, you might not enjoy it. Narrators were fine. I really appreciate having a male and female narrator for each part.
