Nice conclusion

Very interesting story with Russian history thrown in. The author gives some great details in this story, It starts off pretty slow, but builds up the characters well. Narrator does a good job bringing it to life. This is the third and final book of the series and it was just as good as the first two.

I listened to the whole set before posting the review(s), and I am really glad I did, they were an interesting listen, and I didn't want to stop and write out anything since I wanted to know what happened next.

Great end

I recieved this as an audiobook free and my review is voluntary. It amazes me how a bit of history can be taken and written as a fiction story purely imagined by the author and makes it alive in your head. Such is the case with this bit of history. Such a great end to an amazing series.

The incredible, epic conclusion to Kremlins

Dungeons of Destiny: A Historical Romance Novel The Kremlins Series, Book 3, The incredible, conclusion begun in Citadels of Fire and continued in Bastions of Blood. My third read from author K.L. Conger. 14-hours 42-minutes of reading/listening but seems longer as it is so detailed & entertaining. The music & the voice of narrator Cathy Burnham Martin adds greatly to the enjoyment of this excellent book! I’ll be reading more from this author no matter what pseudonym she writes under or what genre she writes in! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

did not disappoint

not disappointing lived up to the first two books of the series; the same intense, true to Ivan the terrible reign, it takes you thru the whole cycle of emotions. You really form attachments to the characters in the storyline from book 1. The series is well worth the listen or read. You finally get some type of closure for all the relationships weather its good or bad...just buckle up!

Beautiful resolution

This book is the third and final in the series. I’m sure one could read them out of order and still enjoy a good story, but I would strongly recommend reading them in order. These books a staged in Russia during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. It amazes me how brutal human beings can be. This brutality is shown in detail throughout these books, but that brutality is countered by the interactions of Inga and the people she interacts with. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to these they’re books. I love the characters that have been created by the author and her ability to weave historical figures and situations into such a compelling story. This period of time was marred with the gruesome acts of Ivan and his supporters, but the “normal” person still found ways to survive. I admire the people who lives during many of the atrocities throughout history, yet found ways to be influences for positive. These characters have done that. I am also very happy with where this book ended. The narrator is good at portraying the emotions of the characters.

A love story like no other....

Dungeons of Destiny by K.L. Conger is the 3rd and final book in the Kremlins Series. I have only just finished the book, and I already miss Inga and Taras. Their love story is like no other. My heart is full of gladness for them. I want the story to go on, and I cannot help but imagine what the rest of their lives looked like. No matter what, I know they are happy.

In this book, we learn a lot about Inga and Taras' separate lives. They both make solid and healthy connections with the people around them while dreaming about "what could have been." Taras' undying dedication to Inga was good for my soul. I needed to read about an incredible human being like Taras.

The truth of the storyline of Ivan the Terrible is appalling. The scariest part of this book is that the most horrible parts are true. Once I finished this book, I looked up the story of Ivan the Terrible. I had to know if his worst act really happened. My heart breaks to know that it did.

There are two minor production errors in this book, but they do not take away from the story. I love the narrator of this book, Cathy Burnham Martin. She puts magnificent energy into her interpretation of the book.

If you like historical romance, this is one series that I can whole-heartedly recommend.

Sensitivity Warning: It is rare to find a love story without graphic sex in this day and age. I can happily say that this entire series doesn't contain anything of the kind. Be prepared for the graphic violence that existed during this time period. Ivan the Terrible was cruel in so many ways, and the author does not sugar coat it.

A Russian Saga

I was entertained by book 3 of "The Kremlins Series" as much as the first two. This historical fiction related the later years of Ivan's reign. It was told through the viewpoint of a palace servant. The amount of research completed by the author was very evident. I liked the characters: Inga, Taras, Nikolai and Yehvah. I admired their individual strengths, and the roles that each played in this tale. Cathy Burnham Martin's narration was good, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

The end of an Epic Story

I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. I listened to Dungeons of Destiny to find out how all fared in the end of this story. Although still dark and as accurate as the author could make it, it was an ending. What all those poor people not only the main characters went through under Ivan's reign was horrific. The madness of that man. I will not tell you how it ends except to say if you made it through the second book, hang in there and see what happens.
