About this listen

Dystopia is better with girls. Lots of them.

Mason, a good guy in a post-apocalyptic world tries hard to cling to his values despite the new dystopian society. In a world where most survivors are female, and healthy males are rare, he overcomes his timid personality to draw the most attractive and powerful women to his side.

Sexually charged and action packed, Dystopian Girls is an adult oriented novel that puts you in the mind of a respectable young man determined to make the best of a bad situation. When reality begins to match up with fantasy he needs to carefully navigate his journey to keep everyone alive and happy, including himself.

Dystopian Girls is the first book of a unique and fascinating harem adventure style series written for adult readers. This book has sexual content, profanity and violence.

"Nice start to a new twist on apocalypse stories."

"Great book series, can't wait for more."

Story

Great story I wish the MC had more back bone and wasn’t constantly concerned about others opinions of him it makes sense in certain circumstances but with the ratio of men to women being 1:20-30 it would be weird for him to only have one wife not saying he needs 20-30 because you don’t want incest but 5-6 isn’t to bad considering the circumstances

It’s alright.

The free A.I. voice is a bit of a challenge. The world building is interesting and the “magic” system is unique-ish and interesting. However, a better explanation for it would have been nice.

Wonderful dystopian sci-fi

I just finished all seven audio books, and Loved this series. It wasn't just about building a harem and the associated scenes. The books were well written. I do wish that it'd been a real narration, instead of Virtual Voice, but I'm glad that I spent this time listening.

Love the concept

First, what I liked - Great concept. End of the world harem is always fun. What I didn’t like - The actual written story. Don’t get me wrong, the writing is decent but it was as if someone asked Futurama’s Zapp Brannigan to write a sexily sexy story and then asked Kiff to edit it so the MC wouldn’t be so offensive. I mean, the MC could’ve been bold and masculine while still respecting women, but the MC was so timid concerning attractive women that I’m actually surprised anything happened. A fun sexily sexy story, where every woman is the most gorgeous women left on the planet and one of the the last men on Earth is scared of them.

It's okay so far

As part of a long apocalyptic harem series I do look forward to listening to the rest.

Overall, the story is okay. The main character has a weak personality. The story line is full of poor decisions and questionable judgement in an apocalypse scenario. The anarchy of clans going after each other to battle seems so odd to me because they just go all in on fighting without any explanation as to their motivation to do so. The only motivation would be to gather up more women but with that motivation comes extra responsibility.

Other poor decisions would be making a home in an old liquor store instead of a more easily defended shelter, staying in the Los Angeles area after an apocalyptic event instead of selling shelter in a less populous area, and not gathering up weapons as resources which are obviously necessary in this scenario.

The sex scenes were also short and fairly non-descriptive which really takes away from the excitement potential of the book.

Finally, the virtual voice is a really poor choice for a narrator. Virtual voices do a terrible job of including natural pauses and showing emotion. The use of virtual voice brings the overall review down one star.

On the positive side it's an interesting idea which could be developed in a more thoughtful way. The apocalyptic harem scenario is always fun. The interplay between the females struggling with feelings and sharing their man is a great addition. A similar scenario could place the struggle internally, between the women, instead of having off-the-wall fights at random for the sake of having an antagonist.

I look forward to what's contained in the rest of the series.

Beta love

Milquetoast MC. It’s the end of the world. You’ve got women for days. Be a man. Build your harem. Grow a pair. Sheesh!

Yawn and Ick

This is just another take on Ye Olde Harem Fantasy. The author is trying hard to present a PC and pro-women stance but this is boring with an ick factor. I can't recommend this and I love good porn. And the Virtual Voice is just terrible.

Virtual voice sucks

The virtual voice is super monotonous. The plot is poorly developed and so are the characters.
