About this listen

GSW - a.k.a. a gunshot wound - back to front. That’s what landed me in Sophie’s operating room after a black op went to hell.

After I bled out, she “volunteered” me for Project Angel, a top-secret program determined to revive KIAs with alien tech. I became their first success. Fast-forward to Armageddon: Demons are everywhere. Bodies even more so.

After some intense fighting, we’ve reached the hospital where she worked. The place looks grim, but I’m not about to stop searching for the angel who saved my life. And by we, I mean myself and another girl I met - a girl who’s literally out of this world. Once the three of us are clear, we’re going to put together a team to go after high-priority targets so we can save our planet and end this war once and for all.

Details to follow. Standby for the next transmission at 0300 hours. This is Captain Isaac Williams, Force-Recon, signing off.

Intended for mature listeners due to the lack of fade-to-black, ensuing relationships, and language that might offend some sensibilities.

Entertaining

Plenty of action, sex, while graphic was still understated and not overwhelming to the rest of the story. Interesting psychological drama for the MC. But again, not heavy handed. Good representation of the genre.

If you like action here you go

Good story that made sense on a lot of levels. The characters were written well except for a couple of the minor characters. The voice talent was superb. The story was good could’ve used a little more tweaking but I am very excited for the next book in the series.

Not bad

It's the end of the world. A monstrous alien race, looking like demons, is pouring across the world in overwhelming numbers. No world in the universe has stood up to them. Fortunately, there are a couple pieces of technology from another alien country that have been sitting around for thousands of years, if not longer - maybe that can turn the tide?

It was a fairly entertaining book, despite the plot holes (hey, how did those alien portals show up on earth anyway?). A military man is trying to carve out a safe space as the world goes to crap and find a way to fight back against the overwhelming force before it gets so much worse. The alien technology provides a distinct LitRPG element to this book, although it's a fairly light touch.

Oh, and there are hot girls.

The most disappointing part is that one of the girls apparently has bondage fantasies - which, sadly, are completely unrealized in this book.

Still, on the whole, a fairly entertaining read. And the protagonist does go through some character growth around overcoming loss in his life.

Not bad.

Main charecter falls into the let me ask a million fucking questions in the middle of a crisis cliche bit but overcall pretty good.

The preformers honestly sound alot like marissa parnes and a slightly less grating alex perone.

Weak

Weak main character for a captain acted like a someone right out of school. Don’t know why in all these types of books they don’t have a clue about what there female companions are suggesting like they need to be hit over the head with a frying pan. Besides that dumb stupid ideas sex at the dumbest times still great idea for a book looking forward to next
