When we speak to an audience, we often put on a public mask; and use a different voice. Why can't we seem to be ourselves when we give a talk? In this audiobook, we will look at all aspects of spoken communication, from structure right through to delivery. We will learn how to have a conversation with our audience - to be ourselves - so that we connect with them every time we speak.

Little more than 100 years ago, maps of the world still boasted white space: places where no human had ever trod. Within a few short decades the most hostile of the world's environments had all been conquered. Likewise, in the 20th century, medicine transformed human life. Doctors took what was routinely fatal and made it survivable. As modernity brought us ever more into different kinds of extremes, doctors pushed the bounds of medical advances and human endurance. Extreme exploration challenged the body in ways that only the vanguard of science could answer.

Decent book, horrible pronunciations
The book was pretty good but the way the narrator pronounced many medical terms was awful. especially for a study guide for a medical test you need to be able to pronounce the words. there were several words that I had to listen to more than once to figure out what he was saying.

amazing content, but the narrator struggles
the content is amazing and that is the only reason I continue to listen. the author did a great job.
unfortunately, the narrator mispronounces so many medical words that I'm often trying to figure out by context what he is saying. for a new student, this could cause some serious comprehension issues

Very helpful and challenging problems reviewed.
Very helpful and challenging problems reviewed. However, there were too many errors with the figures or amounts in the word problems. Leads to wrong answers though you solved the problem correctly. Also, numbering of questions sequence were off a few times.

Definitely worth buying.
I’m satisfied with this book. I got it so I can study before the NREMT test. It seems like it’s really well done and the key code is still new so I can take the practice test. The book came in sooner than expected. Once I pass my test I’ll review more, but definatetly it’s a book to have with you and at the station so you can go back and review.

Pronunciation!
Part of EMS is being able to pronounce words and terms correctly, whoever narrates this book does a pretty terrible job saying certain words in the correct way. I had had to turn it off at times it was so bad.
