Michael Neill uses a very conversational style which is engaging.
The core message is to be honest with yourself, connect what you really want, and to be happy before, and not after, you achieve your goals. Start with happy and everything else can be approached with joy versus desperation or struggle.
Lot's of great insights, wonderful teaching stories too.
Easy Listening and Very Inspiring

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. He is not a rah-rah 'write your goals and live your dreams' coach/preacher who tries to whip up fervour for personal goal-setting and obsessive positivity. He is an encouraging, softly spoken and reasonable bloke who gently reminds listeners about what's important to them. What other book might you compare Effortless Success to and why?
It's a bit different I think. I'm not really into coaching/self-help stuff because it tends to be a quick fix of feel-good rah-rah that fizzles out on the shelf. (Where it ends up pretty fast). I think you might listen to this one a few times, even in the background while you do other stuff. It has a gentle way of cutting through. What did you learn from Effortless Success that you would use in your daily life?
It's really a reminder that it's all OK.Any additional comments?
I'm only bothering to write this because there was a sad, poisonous little review here that obviously came from somewhere deep within the reviewer and had nothing whatever to do with this guy or his presentation. (This was obvious to readers of the review, as you can see from the lack of 'helpful' tags.) You would not recognise the book from the comments of the person who said 'ugh' take it off the list. It would be a wonderful thing if that person could listen to it and be open to being OK. He is OK, you could be OK too.Well-reasoned reminders to go with your flow

I've read many Hay House authors and listen to Hay House radio, so I was familiar with Michael Neill. As I listened to his book I realized that all of the things he was saying made sense. The ideas and concepts are things I've always followed naturally but didn't really understand how I could make it work for me.
I've always felt that if something is so difficult that you are "fighting an uphill battle" that it wasn't meant to be. There should be a natural flow of things and it shouldn't be difficult all the time.
This book reinforced for me many things I've always known but I also learned many things that I think are very helpful.
I highly recommend this book, I finished it this morning than started it over again because I felt like I just needed to have it poured in my brain again to grab what I missed the first time. If I had the paper book (and I might actually buy it) it would be dog eared.
To sum up the Author in my opinion, he is a little Wayne Dyer, a more mellow Tony Robinson but presented in a realistic, helpful and easy to apply to daily life manner. He makes me want to be a life coach! (I think I might be gushing) Seriously it's helpful info you can apply this very minute. READ IT!
