About this listen

"If you’re looking for magic, just follow the cats." (A common saying where Tessica lives.)

When molasses monsters put the mage she works with in a coma, she must scramble to find another mage who can help save not only him but possibly the entire town from being consumed by ooey-gooey blobs.

you're never too old to learn you're a wizard

Tessica's employer ends up in a magical coma, now the only person who can help him might be the oldest woman in town. But she swears she has no magic.

I loved this short tale of magic and secrets, where even grandmother's can discover the magic inside.

The world building is clever. Magic exists so no one bothered to invent technology. Ice boxes are cooled with magical cool packs, ovens are fueled by magical heat pellets, and everyone rides horses.

The narrator, Maryanne Weathers is one I've enjoyed before. Her voicework is varied enough to tell one character from another and her voice is a joy to listen to.
