Publisher's summary

"Feelings are real. They often become one's reality. But they are not always based on truth...."

New Eden Township is more than a dungeon for Fillion Nichols. Sealed inside the experimental Mars colony, there is no escape from anyone, especially the young woman who has haunted his life for nearly six years. To preserve his sanity, he focuses on one goal: decoding the mystery behind the Watson deaths.

Meanwhile, to prove his worth to the Daughter of Earth, a young nobleman ventures beyond the walls of the biodome and experiences the Outside world for the first time. But his quest takes an unpredictable turn when he meets Lynden Nichols and Mack Ferguson, who draw him into their world - an underground community also confined and isolated by society.

As worlds converge, each young man faces a choice that will affect the survival of an entire community. And to save the generation they fight for, both men must defy the boundaries of everything they know.

Cultures collide as The Biodome Chronicles continues in a compelling quest for truth, forging an unforgettable story rich in mystery, betrayal, and love.

Just as good as the first

Just as good as the first book. The character development is great and the plot is complex and flows nicely.

adventure in and out of biodome . . .

I knew picking up this one that I as in for an adventure in to the sci-fi fantasy world with elements of original worlds, characters, settings, and more. The biodome was most certainly different. We follow a few characters and their journey in or out of the biodome and the differences to the world they once inhabited. I not going to sugar coat or give up the goods, but I will say that you need to have read/listened to book one of this series to fully enjoy all that book two has to offer.

This was a very well crafted story set many years to the future and essentially another world all together. There are things that our collection of characters need to make to the end of the long journey beginning with the courage to make that first step beyond what they know. The dangers, mystery, and the way that it is all handled makes the ride that much more enjoyable.

This was a family friendly read. I took the time to each night as family time share the journey of Fillion, Coal, and Willow. We were a bit put off that it was a somewhat cliffhanger at the end but that gave us time to plan for another time of bonding with a well written, well received tale with characters that we all were able to relate to at some point and time with in the story.

Our narrator did a fab job with given voice to a world that was open, closed, complex, detailed, mysteries, and more. The cadence. The pitch and tone setting were all just what was needed to set things up just right for visualizing the entire adventure.

A great read

This book blew me away. The story line has plenty of twists and is complex, which makes it so great. It keeps you guessing about what will come next. The narrator does a great job with voices and making the story come alive!

Interesting Storyline

Tron:Legacy meets The Viilage
Such an interesting storyline based around life in a dome compared to techno outer world.

Just Can't Enough

Fairytale romance. Mystery. Intrigue. Power struggles. Found Family. This series has it all!
Such beautiful writing and descriptions! Jesikah manages to put the deep feelings of the heart into words. Of love, loss, and grief, of loneliness and separation, feeling unloved and unwanted.
Ugh. This book...Just. All. The. Feels. 😭😅
It's like The Book of One True Pairs! 💙💙💙 I'm a hopeless romantic. And I love all the couples. They're so wonderful. 👩‍❤️‍👨
And the boys develop a fun bromance 😆
There's a lot of details to their day to day lives, but it's important to the series. How life in the dome differs from the world outside the dome. I love the contrast. Absolutely loving the series and narration.

👉🏼 Some (A Lot of) Quotes
"I am awesome."
.
"Love is a fairytale. It's a pain killer. A drug that dulls with time. Making the wounded desperate for larger doses that will never ease the pain."
.
"Toughen up Mr Awesome."
.
"There is a difference between being able to love, and believing your love is valuable, worth giving away."
.
"All I want is you," he whispered.
A delirious rush stilled the air in her lungs.
"I want to be with you. Kiss you until you can't think straight. Then kiss you some more. And argue with you until life has the last word"
.
Was this the corpse position? Fitting. "Namaste, loser," he mumbled to himself.

Wow this is a great listen. It takes you into a different world into the future that is
Very different. I love the World building and the scenes are written so well that you can see them in your minds eye. The Author has a very creative mind that brings this book to life so well. And you feel the emotions from the characters. I definitely recommend. The Narrator done a fantastic job as well.

Amazing and tender

I am a fan of this author for many reasons. She has the ability to show such emotional depth in her characters and weave a psychologically complex narrative. Every layer you pull away just has more layers beneath it.

This book is no exception... beautifully breathtaking.

My Adventure Into New Eden Continues

If you listened to Legacy, the first book in the Biodome Chronicles, you can't stop there. You will need to continue the adventure here. Once more Mr. Patel does a great job of bringing me into the world that Ms. Sundin has created. I'm sure that I would have enjoyed this series whether I read the book or listened but the audio version edges the book out by a hair. There's no way that I would be able to form the pictures in my mind as I can when the right voice actor makes the words they read sing.

In the last book, I thought it would be a great addition to the series on the SyFy channel. I feel the same is true here. The author has created a world that you can see as our future. With this one, we get to see how two characters seem to trade places. One is in our world and one is in New Eden. It was interesting to see how differently they feel about where they are - one seems more accepting about certain things and the other seems so lost because of all the new stimuli. It was nice to see the same characters here and watch some of them interact due to the change in situation.

You could certainly recommend this to your young adult if they love science fiction/fantasy. But if you're one that likes the same, whey not listen to it together and it may give you something to talk about. If you liked the movie "Total Recall", you may want to check into this world. You cannot compare them but you can certainly enjoy them for what they are and the possibilities that can be found in each. Within the science fiction and fanasty genres nothing is off limits or not probable. They are pure creativity and may have you wonder if this is what our future holds. Sometimes it can also act as a warning. If we don't change our ways, we just may see this as our future.

I'm left with a quandry though. There are at least two more books in the Biodome Chronicles but the haven't come out in audio form yet. I'm left wondering if I have the patience to wait to see if they ever come out in this form. Maybe I should break down and get the book. I can always get the audio version at another time. I guess I will have to wait and see what wins out. In the meantime, I can always go back and listen to the first two books in the series again.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
