Sometimes the best Christmas gifts are the ones you don’t see coming.

Widower and wounded soldier David Pemberton didn’t plan to marry again, but his meddling friends in Cowboy Creek refuse to let him grieve forever. Almost before he realizes what they’re up to, they rope him into sending off for a mail-order bride. He couldn’t be more surprised when the woman who steps off the stagecoach turns out to be a familiar face.

Former battlefield nurse Elizabeth Byrd leaves Atlanta to escape the devastation of war and the heartache of losing her fiancé. Desperate to dig her mother and sisters out of poverty, she travels west to marry a stranger, promising to send for her family as soon as she raises the funds. She never dreamed she’d recognize her groom. Or feel the stirring of attraction to the brave, scarred war hero reaching for her hand...

Escape to Cowboy Creek for a timeless love story wrapped in hope and holiday miracles!

Virtual voice ruins a good story - mispronounced words, odd pauses in sentences and terrible inflections.

I hadn’t listened to a book recorded by AI before so I tried it. There was more inflection than I expected but it was often lacking. Obviously it stole my focus from the text. I may read the other novels in the series but I won’t be listening if they are AI as well.

AI voice, no thank you
