About this listen

What’s better than one Ellie and Ace adventure? Four – all together in one ready-made collection!

Girl detective Ellie and her dog pal Ace will captivate and delight readers with their adventures in this four-story set. Ellie and Ace want to be world-famous detectives. To do that, they need lots of practice. Fortunately, their small town of Huckleberry Springs provides lots of cases for them to solve.

These hilarious mysteries hook readers from the start. Short chapters, engaging characters, fast-paced action, and silly situations make the Ellie and Ace stories a perfect fit for readers of the Heidi Heckelbeck, Junie B. Jones, Nate the Great, and Ivy and Bean books.

This collection features The Case of the The Bedtime Bandit, The Case of the Pinched Peaches, The Case of the Mixed-up Mutt, and The Case of the Quick Quack Sneak Attack.

The mysteries start right away with a stolen running shoe in The Case of the Bedtime Bandit.

In The Case of the Pinched Peaches, Ellie and Ace must figure out who is stealing the town’s peaches if they ever want to eat peach pie again.

Can Ellie solve cases without the help of her beloved pal Ace? She might have to find out in The Case of the Mixed-up Mutt.

It’s time for the Annual Rubber Ducky River Race in The Case of the Quick Quack Sneak Attack, and everyone in town is convinced someone is cheating in the race – everyone except Ellie, that is. Will the town convince her to take the case? Listen to find out!

A great Compilation to enjoy with the kids

Bedtime Bandit
Ellie and Ace start their journey here. Looking for clues to figure out who is toppling the garbage cans, Ellie and Ace dream of being famous. Ellie is a smart little girl, who is easy to relate to. Ace is a fun dog, who helps Ellie sniff out the clues. This detective team share giggles and fun with their readers.

Mixed up Mutt
Ellie and Ace are fun detectives. This time Ace is just not himself. He would rather eat then find clues. Ellie is a spunky girl, who is not only on the hunt for clues but to be famous too. The laughs are abundant in this story as Ellie hunts to figure out what is wrong with her dog. My son giggled his way through this story. When it was over, he begged me for more.

Quick Quack Sneak Attack
Ellie and Ace are at it again. This time a race seems to be fixed. The Annual Rubber Duck race is on, but is it rigged? Leave it to Ellie and her trusty dog Axe to find the clues. Ellie is so fun to listen to. My son cannot get enough of her detective skills. He has listened to the many times now, and enjoys them each time.

Pinched Peaches
Ellie is on the case again, looking for clues to find out where the peaches are going. Her motivation this time is Peach Pie. Ellie has become an almost famous detective and solving this may put her in the papers. I love the spunk of Ellie. Listening to these stories with my son was the best fun we have had reading.

Tiffany Williams has a great voice for this book. She had an easy to listen to voice. Ms. Williams narrates Ellie as spunky as I imagined her. Ms. Williams is able to create a voice for Ellie that kids can relate to. My son loved listening to Ms. Williams narration. He is asking for more audiobooks!
