About this listen

Take a moment to look over your books about investing. Have any of them given you a successful method for making profits and reducing risks? Is there even one such book that has proven reliable over the years? Alas, most investors would say no. That's because so few investment books are classic in the true sense: For years investors keep buying the book, and they keep using the method to make the most of their opportunities. Three decades ago - 1978 - is one of the last times an investment book was written that is worthy of being called classic.

One of the two men who authored that book was a 26-year-old market analyst working at Merrill Lynch's headquarters on Wall Street. The young man had earned a lot of attention in a short time by using a forecasting tool that almost no one had heard of. Yet his market forecasts were startlingly accurate: Robert Prechter was the young man's name, and he used a method called the Elliott Wave Principle.

A. J. Frost was one of the few other financial professionals who used the Wave Principle. In a distinguished 20-year career, Frost had likewise made many astonishingly accurate forecasts. His colleagues regarded him as the consummate technical analyst. Frost and Prechter met in May of 1977 and became fast friends. Eighteen months later they published Elliott Wave Principle - Key to Market Behavior.

The Dow Industrials stood at 790. But the brash forecast in this new book called for a great bull market. It became a runaway best seller. Elliott Wave International is proud to present the 10th edition of this investment classic. It's designed to help the Elliott Wave novice and the veteran practitioner.

Enjoyed it... only wish is has visual aid to it. As such, the assimilation would be much better.

Many visual representations are referenced.. they are needed to understand the context being discussed… essentially it is i contextual gibberish without the visual aide..

Nearly worthless without visuals

Don't forget to download the PDF in your library. The audible has a reasonable in pace but digesting the graphs & figures will require a lot of start and stop.

unless I'm mistaken, this needs a pdf with it! it's really annoying when they don't do that for books that practically NEED the pics. Please add a PDF!

This book is a great way to learn about Elliot Wave. This audiobook would be best supplemented with a print or digital version as there are a lot of references to figures/charts. Personally I don't find wave theory to be perfect but it does help supplement chart understanding of those who have an interest in Dow theory. The three stages of bull markets can become more apparent on the chart if you understand both Dow and wave theory. I did buy the print version of this book some years ago and was happy to find the audio version of this book as a review of the wave theory as I don't get as much time to physically read anymore I thought listening would be great. Upon beginning to listen even though I still have retained knowledge on the theory it was hard to follow without the print version nearby, so I'd reiterate that this audiobook is best supplemented with a visual form of this book.

Great way to learn about Elliot Wave.

I was expecting to be sent to a website for the visual resources, charts, etc. Otherwise, I enjoyed the audiobook and was able to take really good notes just by listening!

I don't think this makes a good audio book. The subject matter is very complex and discusses reviewing charts, etc. Seems it would make a much better book where you can actually see and review the charts. I couldn't listen to the entire book.

Content not good for audio book.
