Publisher's summary

What is the Wyckoff Methodology?

It is a technical analysis approach based on the study of supply and demand; that is, on the continuous interaction between buyers and sellers. The approach is simple: When well-informed traders want to buy or sell, they carry out processes that leave their traces on the chart through price and volume. The Wyckoff Methodology tries to identify that professional intervention to try to elucidate who is most likely to be in control of the market and enable us to pose judicious scenarios of where the price is most likely to go.

Why should you study this methodology, and why this audiobook?

Unique theoretical conceptual framework

This approach is based on a real underlying logic through its three fundamental laws:

  • Law of Supply and Demand
  • Law of Cause and Effect
  • Law of Effort and Result

Price and volume analytical tools

We will understand that markets do not move in a straight line but in waves of varying degrees, which create trends and ranges.

It provides context and road map

Thanks to the accumulation and distribution schemes we will be able to identify the professional's participation as well as the general market sentiment up to the present moment, enabling us to pose truly objective scenarios. The events and phases are unique elements of the methodology and help us to guide the development of the structures.

It determines high probability trading zones

The methodology provides us with the exact zones on which we will act, as well as examples of triggers to enter the market, making it as easy as possible to know where to look for trades. In addition, the audiobook includes a section on position management where different configurations for setting stop losses and taking targets are discussed.

Very Great and Easy to Understand Book

This book was very good. It is not a book that will teach you how to trade, but it will teach an even more important topic which is trend analysis and phases. I purchased the book and audible so I can read it faster. And I see myself reading it again so now I can take notes and really hone everything. Highly recommend.

Good overall wish it had PDFs

I enjoyed this first foray into this topic and only wish it came with PDFs to follow along.

Previous reviews were accurate

It's definitely a dry listen and something about the lost translations makes it a bit hard to follow at various times in the chapters.

Not recommended if you haven't already reviewed the Wyckoff approach. Go through Wyckoff Analytics, StockCharts, YouTube before using this text to learn.

Overall not ideal that author takes liberties with using his own terminology for already established Wyckoffian terms - basically just adds unnecessary confusion.

Stating that "the terminology doesn't matter" may be true in trying to help learner's dive deeper into the context of the price action. But Wyckoff approach is great to learn because it's established, so why try to change that?

Great recap of Wyckoff while driving but…

Do not try and take your hard copy and follow along with this audio version! Read the book once and got this to refresh but some things were different than I had recalled so I grabbed my book and it’s all over the place and reader changes words and jumps paragraphs it was so confusing so grab a hard copy so you can see the graphs to help as well!

Dry but informative

A difficult listen for an inexperienced trader. Understanding terminology would help in following along. He does give an overview of the terminology in the beginning which helped. But I am not the sponge I used to be.

This audible would be much more useful as a YouTube video with a visual aid.

All in all I do feel like some type of learning has occurred. Let’s see if I can lose less than usual haha.

Are you KIDDING me?

I got the audio version of this book to follow along the paper copy and I am very disappointed to say the least. The audiobook basically paraphrases the entire book. Although the concept or teachings mag be the same, the audio recording has different words as if it can’t copy the book direct and makes it useless to me to follow along with the paper copy. Very very disappointing.
