About this listen

Can imaginative Emily make her biggest dream come trueSpunky Emily Bartlett lives in an old farmhouse in Pitchfork, Oregon at a time when automobiles are brand-new inventions and libraries are a luxury few small towns can afford. Her runaway imagination leads her to bleach a horse, hold a very scary sleepover, and feed the hogs an unusual treat. But can she use her lively mind to help bring a library to Pitchfork?

Adventure is pretty scarce in Pitchfork, Oregon. So why shouldn't Emily bleach Dad's old plow horse or try some of her other ideas?

The best book!

This is the best book that I’ve ever read. It is a little exiting and the reason why I like this book is mostly is that Emily’s like me, always looking for a new adventure and scarred to meet new people or people that she doesn’t know as well. The way the author describes her is like she is a real person. I feel like I am there with Emily when all of these things happen. Also, knowing that this story is based on her on life when she was Emily age. Most of her story’s are created from the things happening around her. This is a really good story in my opinion.

Not her best work!

This definitely isn't Beverly cleary's best work. It was really difficult to stay interested most of the time. The funniest part is when she's riding with her grandfather in his new model t Ford and they can't get it to stop or else it will stall and not start again.
