I prefer lighter Omegaverse stories and Devyn Sinclair really delivers with her books. This one is no exception and was a great romance with just enough drama to keep me interested. I also appreciate that these are contemporary settings so it feels a bit more realistic and relatable.

My only issue was with the male narrator Edward Black. He had such a weird cadence, failed to switch characters a few times so dialogue didn't seem to fit, and by the end it just seemed like he was over the top. I didn't hate it enough to not enjoy the book, but by the end he wasn't keeping me engaged at times made me laugh at his acting.

I'm looking forward to the next books, but I'm likely going to read it instead.

Devyn Sinclair is the 2nd author I've read since my first omegaverse book, and now I've read all of hers in like a week. I can't get enough of those trope and the sweet style of writing in it. I'm not sure if sweet is the right word for it, but it's not dark like a lot I've come to see written out there.

Isolde (Is-zowl-da), I had to Google how to say her name. She is an omega that has ran away from home after her four year relationship ended horribly. She is returning for the first time in a year, back to her family's estate, for her sisters wedding.

Unable to go back home, the poor, lonely omega, she hired a pack of Alpha escorts to stay the 3 weeks with her that her best friend recommended. The only reason she did this is because her ex is the best man in the wedding, where she is the maid of honor.

While waiting at the airport for Isolde to arrive, the St. James Pack is going over their fake identities they plan to use. Once she is in front of them, they scent that she is their match, their omega. The only problem is that they can't tell her. For fear that the sad omega will run away from them. They just have to show her who they really are.

With the ex being there and pulling his old tricks and trying to break Isolde even more. Will this pack ever get the chance to show her who they are, and get to keep her? Especially when she has put s3x off the table.

This book is different from Slate City series. These omega's can't scent their match until they go into heat. Nor do they go into heat as often.

This book was so good and took me on a ride with not only the Alpha's and how they play/fun times...trust, it will leave you satisfied, but also with the ex. I never knew what he was going to do or how bad it was going to be. Your heart goes out to Isolde and how he treated her. Enough to think she was broken. This Alpha Pack had a lot to do to try and un-fix what her ex did to her. Then to be around him for 3 weeks! Oh, could you imagine. I'm glad she had a strong family unit, and her best friends were great. I can't wait to read Ocean's book next!

The Narrators were ok. They weren't anything special to write about. I've never really given a bad review for narrating, but I didn't like Vanessa Vasquez's voice. She honestly sounded like a virtual voice would. At certain times, it sounded like she would give the men an accent, or like it would start as an accent then go back to normal. She didn't really change her voice when reading the male parts. They all sounded the same, and very close to her original voice. She was the one that brought the book down the most in my narrating review.
Edward Black did a pretty decent job. He also wasn't nothing special, but did a better job with his voice than Vanessa.

I really liked this story. I’m a sucker from an omegaverse story. Isolde was a little frustrating for parts of the story with her mental down talking but I loved that her men lifted her up and made her so happy.

I’m so happy first I was worried bc of the other audiobooks series from this author had a girl actor I couldn’t listen to back to back or kind of at all. But these actors were great. Even when they read the other gender parts it didn’t pull from the story like last time. If I had one complaint it was one time the guy had made his girl voice for another guy and it threw me off for half a second but even then I still loved the book and the actors I hope they read the rest of this series so I can keep doing the read at night and listen during the day thing I did with this book! It was great definitely read/listen to this book she’s a great author and they are great voice actors!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The narrators were perfect. I can’t wait for Oceans story. While this book doesn’t end on a cliff hanger it leaves you wanting more books about the other characters. Love this author.

Ugh, good story but too long. 90% of the story was about the MFC and her ex. The story was long because it gave the reader/listener the view point of both main characters. So you had to listen to the same scenes twice. The narrators were wonderful. The story was depressing so the narrators sounded sad and depressed throughout the book. I barely made it through. Happy, sad -listening ❤️
