About this listen

The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring....

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f--k flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way my teammates think is hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies.

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first, I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

ok, so I haven't read or listen to Bishop yet, which is on my que. I seriously can't wait to go back and read the first book. Even though these are standalones, I teeny tiny wished I had read Bishop first! So go in order because everyone's story starts to flesh out. My heart feels for Tacker even though I got a glimpse of his story. Its going to be a tear jerker for sure.

Jason and Ava were perfect for these roles.

Erik is completely Swoon-worthy!

Erik is completely Swoon-worthy! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read

The Narrators and the story will keep you hooked in this story! When Erik meets Blue for the first time he is suddenly swept off his feet for this girl. To get a date he gets a special haircut... she has to accept RIGHT!

Blue knows Erik and she knows that the playboy is only lining her up to be played again! When she sees this other side of him. One that is loyal and devoted. This is not the person she met five years ago. But neither is she.

I loved Erik’s story so much! He is completely ready to be all in with her and be there for her for anything!

Ok- not amazing

Storyline was ok. I liked how there was glimpses of book characters from book #1 of the series. Worth a credit? I wouldn’t. I bought on sale on Amazon with kindle+whisper sync.

Light and sweet

Arizona Vengeance enforcer and former playboy Erik Dahlbeck has been wondering why team plane flight attendant Blue Gardner wouldn't give him a chance-- only to find out that she actually did five years ago and he blew it-- big time! Erik can hardly remember what happened then, but he is drawn to Blue like a moth to a flame and is determined to make her see that he's changed and that she should give him another shot.

I love how strong the female character in this story is and how sweet and understanding the male one is. I'm not exactly the world's biggest sports fan, but you don't have to be to enjoy this series. Yes, hockey is part of the stories, but the main focus is on the characters!

The narration was done flawlessly. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson were perfect for these characters.

Erik is a second chance sports romance with in dual first person POV. It ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

Love this series

This book/audiobook was so good. I loved Blue and Erik’s relationship and finding out the past of both characters. The friendships of the other teammates and significant others. This series is becoming one of my favorites. I love the relationships on and off the ice along with the aspects of the game of hockey. Sawyer Bennett had not disappointed. Blue and Erik have been on of the better couples, although I can’t wait for Tacker’s book.
Jason Clark and Ava Erickson really kept the narration interesting.

Erik: Arizona Vengeance, Book 2

ridiculous #feels
Could possibly be one of my top three Sawyer Bennett books!
(I’ll have to give that further thought)
What I don’t have to give further thought to is the incredible heart this story has. Well done!

After further thought ... If you read the first in this series, Bishop, then you already have a little taste of both Blue and Erik and just from that little taste, you should be running to #one-click immediately! I could not wait! I knew their story was going to be tension high and sexually charged but I didn’t expect the #feels OMG, the #feels!

I loved that story put Blue and Erik in each other’s paths whether they wanted it or not. It made the chase that much more fun! Erik is, of course, a player .. on and off the rink LOL Blue doesn’t have time for those kinds of shenanigans. She has her reasons and they aren’t all about him. Her back-story will touch your heart and make this journey that much sweeter. It grabbed a hold of my heart and just wouldn’t let go. These two will forever hold a place in my heart!

As for the narration .. every minute was delightful! Well done!

Erik Was Great!!

This is book 2 in the Arizona Vengeance and can absolutely be read as a stand alone although I do recommend reading book 1 before this one so that you can understand what happened between these two characters in the previous book. That being said, in this one we get Erik Dahlbeck and Blue Gardner's story. Erik has been having the time of his life as a hockey player and has definitely had no shortage of women. But there is one person who doesn't think he is so great, and that is Blue. He just doesn't know why she doesn't like him or what he could have done in order to give her such a negative opinion of him. And he certainly never realizes exactly how much she has on her plate outside of work. Blue knows that Erik doesn't understand why she doesn't like him. But she honestly just has too much going on to worry about whether he understands. But once they both start understanding past mistakes and who they are as people now, they finally understand what they can mean to each other. If they can take a chance.

I really like this one! Erik is generally a good guy, he is just the typical player. He never really thinks about what that could mean to the women left in the wake of it. Blue has so much responsibility on her shoulders and for the most part she handles it like a trooper. The only drawback I had for her was that she couldn't seem to stop acting like she had to give up every portion of her own personal life. I get her reasoning to a point but it just put me off a little bit. I don't want to say too much because it gives away part of the story. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson were the perfect people to voice these characters. They both are great at bringing not only the story to life but also the emotions of the characters. There aren't any crazy accents or tones-which always drives me nuts! All in all, it was definitely a great listen!

Love this book

I loved this when I read the ebook but listening to Jason Clarke as Erik took it to a whole different level, he really bought the character to life.
This is a story is about loving unconditionally and I really don’t want to give too much of the story away because a lot of the great feels you get from this book are from the heartfelt touching moments that you have to read or listen to with no expectations. . Erik and Blue touched my heart, they made me cry but they also had me laughing with them as I was drawn into their love story. I loved Erik with his his big heart, I love the Arizona Vengeance Team and I loved the connection Erik had with Billy (Blue’s brother). This is a story and the narrators will connect you on so many levels as you fall in love with Erik and Blue. Great Story and Great Narration.
