About this listen

Thousands of Jewish children were rescued from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940 and brought to new homes in the United Kingdom. Memoir pieces, poems, and other primary sources bring several of these important stories to life.

The story was good, but the recording glitched it’s way through. Stopping in weird places.

It has some glitchy sections

To those wondering, no, the recording did not stop, it’s just weird pauses. It also tin me some time that they read the captions on pictures that we can’t see and sometimes in the middle of other sentences.

Good story, bad performance

The long dramatic pauses mid sentence were a bit much. This guys is a terrible reader.

What a terrible Shatner-esque read...

The first pause will make you think, "Did it stop playing?" Then it happens every minute or two and you want to strangle whoever added seconds (reader? sound editor?) at random points mid-sentence. Also, the narrator reads captions to photos without any indication that they are captions to photos which is just bizarre.
I might have been inclined to rate the story higher if the reading hadn't been so annoying.

Incredibly bad reading/editing
