About this listen

Double crossed. Double agents. Doubling down... She's putting her heart and her life on the line.

Raine Meyers is alive today only because of the heroic efforts of the Delta Force Echo Team. It's time to pay that debt.

As an undercover defense intelligence officer, Raine tracks a Russian threat to the Delta Force wives left vulnerable while their husbands are downrange protecting the US.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Damian Prescott, former Delta Force operator - also Raine's former fiance - falls quite literally into the middle of her operation.

Since both the DIA and FBI have their teeth clamped onto the same crime, why not join forces? A plan is hatched to insert the two intelligence officers into the action - under the cover of a fake marriage - painting a target on Raine's back, enticing the mole out into the open.

Damian wasn't there when his Delta Force brothers saved Raine from the terrorists in Afghanistan...will he be there for her this time, when she's in the sniper's rifle sights?

LOVE FIONA QUINN BOOKS

I have started listening to all the Fiona Quinn books on Audiobook. I have enjoyed all of them immensely. Until this one. I am enjoying the story line, but finding it so hard to connect to this narrator. I wish that each series would keep the same narrator through out so that there is consistency.

Great characters and story!

This is one of my favourites. Raine is such a strong character who is smart and resourceful. Damien was also wonderful. Lots of action with appearances from characters from Iniquis. Loved it! Great narration . Never disappointed by this author!

Great story, not so great narrator

I love all of Fiona Quinn’s books. I’m on my 2nd time through them.
Totally unimpressed with the narrator, Made women sound awful. Just my opinion.

Very entertaining story; performance good but...

This is a very entertaining story with lots of suspense, some romance, and characters that have depth and color. This is Raine and Damian's story. I had a hard time with this performance. Part of it is because it was hard for me to listen to Raine's voice which was damaged due to her serious injuries, but that is part of her character. I'd rather read it than listen to it though. And the other part is due to the cadence of the performer's voice sometimes.

Story good

The narrator on this book wasn’t my favorite, for a weird reason. He played Striker with a southern accent. Striker is from Miami, Florida. A place not known for a southern accent. Stupid reason I know. If you are listening to this as a stand-alone that probably wouldn’t bother you.

Interesting and entertaining

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved getting to see Raine and Damien get a second chance to work through what happened to them 7 years ago. They both have a lot of respect for each other and both have never found anything that even comes close to what they had together. This one was interesting with the intrigue and plot of the story with the Delta wives being threatened to get their husbands not to re-up. It ties in with some of the other cases in the series (though not needed to be read) and I enjoyed how they were woven together. I enjoyed getting to see Raine and Damien separately and then as we watched them undercover and the connection that their history gave them. Everything was pretty close to the truth so it allowed for them to be honest with themselves and each other when the relationship started to change and become more. I really enjoyed it and thought it moved forward smoothly and at a good pace. Can't wait for what's next in the Iniquus world!
The narrator did a good job with the story and bringing it to life.

Extremely Poor Narration

This title would be better read as a book. The narrator was hard to listen to and made it hard to follow the story.

Interesting story but terrible narration

Each of these stories by Fiona Quinn is so interesting. Enjoy all the characters, plot twists, surprises, and the romantic developments. But this narrator simply reads the story using the same tone and cadence all the way through. Cannot fathom why he was selected unless no one listened to a sample of his style. All the men and women characters sounded alike except for two men with foreign accents who, of course, both sounded the same. Steve Marvel proves that rotten narration spoils even the best of storylines.
