Publisher's summary

What Zoe knows can get people killed...and she might be at the top of that kill list....

Zoe Kealoha's work as a military scientist was supposed to change the way America hunted terrorists. It should not have made her a target. But it did. Now, if she has any hope of surviving, she needs help. She needs her boyfriend, Gage - the man who, up until now, had no idea what she actually did for a living....

Gage doesn't really care what Zoe's been up to in her lab. All he knows is that he'll stop at nothing to keep her safe. And if he has to take on every rogue operator in the world and use every tool in his Marine Special Forces arsenal to do it, so be it....

If they want to make it to happily ever after, Zoe and Gage will have to weave their way through a high-stakes game where no one can be trusted. It will not be easy. But whoever said international intrigue - or love - would be easy?

Contains mature themes.

Fast paced and enjoyable

Don’t let the cover dissuade you from reading. It was a good listen. Not real spicy and that was okay. Good story in a short listen.

Timeline didn't mesh with Lynx's !!! SPOILERS !!!

Huge error in the story for those of us who have read the other storylines before this one.

In Lynx's "universe storyline" she and Gage have never met face-to- face. Lynx only knows of Gage because of her work with Spider. Gage brings her into the fold, Jack and Gage give her the call name Lynx.

Outside of this point of contingency...

This was an amazing story. Love this world and would honestly take any number of these men.

So far Zoe, is my second favorite Female. This book barely hints at Lynx's whole story. She is next level.

Fantastic story and performance!

Wow! This audible is fantastic. The book has great characters and an engaging, fast-paced story full of mystery and action. Zoe is unique and it is a treat to follow her thought processes. Gage is such a good match for her. I love that Gage completely accepts Zoe's introverted ways. The book presentation in Audible format is completely enjoyable. The performance is one of the very best I have ever heard. Great!!!

Just WOW!!

This is my first book by Fiona Quinn, and it is AMAZING!! Well organized, well researched, good character development, and great plausible storyline.
The narration is just plain great! Sean Crisden's voice is fantastic! All characters were easily distinguishable and well executed.
This is my first Fiona Quinn book, but it is definitely not going to be my last.

Entertaining read

I really enjoyed this one. I had fun with Gage and Zoe as they tried to figure out and unravel the knot that wound itself around Zoe. She has people trying to kidnap her and thankfully Gage shows up at the right time and he is connected to Titus at Iniquus so he is able to reach out and get some help. Zoe is a scientist and different. The way that she processes things. I loved how Gage understood her and loved her for her. This situation brought out how much he enjoyed being with her and that she was independent and could stand on her own two feet and not change to be with Gage. Just like he didn’t change to be with Zoe. They definitely have a lot to unravel between her two research programs that she is working on and why people are after her and where they are coming from. There is a lot of interest in her from a lot of different parties and I enjoyed watching as things came together and started making sense. This was a great read and I am looking forward to more in the series.

Boring and shallow characters

Story was not interesting. Almost always a narrative how great the female lead is. Ugh.
