About this listen

Eventide is the heartbreaking tale of a long-ago romance that resurfaces in the fading light of a woman's life. Many years ago, Carrie experienced true love and was nearly destroyed by a soul-crushing betrayal. She moved on, but never forgot. Now, as Carrie faces an early death, her best friend Lauren sets out to confront the man who broke Carrie's heart. Listeners will be inspired by this extraordinary tale.

Christy Award finalist Cindy Martinusen's The Salt Garden was named to Library Journal's Best Christian Fiction list.

I am glad I did not get put off by another's review. I found this book to be as enjoyable as Cindy Martinusen's Salt Garden.
Characters are well-developed, and the story is beautifully written as I've come this expect from this writer. The reader of the story is expressive and adds to the story by her narration--I enjoyed her voice very much! VERY much. I've learned to trust my instinct rather than reviews and I'm glad I did so in this case. You can bet I'll continue to read everything Ms Martinusen writes.

This is a lovely story

I finally got through Part I of this book, hoping it would pick up. The author just didn't make me care enough to want to know the "secret" to endure listening to Part II.

Almost maddening, as well, is that the narrator seems to have a head cold. Listening made me want to blow my nose!

The first book I haven't finished in a long time.
