Publisher's summary

A New York Times best-selling author releases her first southern novel, a Steel Magnolias-meets-Sweet Home Alabama story set on St. Simons Island.

After losing two loved ones in a devastating tornado and suffering a head injury, Tara Abbott flees to St. Simons Island, where her disorientation causes the lines between imagination and reality, past and present to blur. There she encounters island residents Julep Burnside, Luella Ward, Sue Beth Manning, and Dell Calhoun - The Glynn Girls - who have been friends since Bible camp, 40 years earlier. When Julep's son Gavin identifies a troubled soul in need of help, can the Glynn Girls guide Tara back to herself?

Delightful book

Loved the tenderness and maturity shown by the main character as she takes on responsibility for her half brothers.
Enjoyed the intrigue surrounding her search for her Nana as well.
This was my first introduction to Cindy Woodstock and I look forward to the next.

MUST READ/Listen!!!

I was skeptical at first. I am so use to listening and reading all of Cindy’s Amish romance books, that I was afraid this one wouldn’t be as good, or that it wouldn’t be a romance.

I was BLOWN AWAY!!! This book has made me laugh and cry; it has also kept me on my toes. There was a few times I fast forward because I felt it was draggy.... but that was more of my anxiousness to continue on with the main story line and not one of the side ones. Overall this was fantastic.... and I hope she does another one like it.

The Performance of the reader, though, caused me to have mixed emotions. There was times she was fantastic and other times lacking. However, I know I couldn’t do any better.. so I applaud her. I did have to up the reading speed, because I felt like she was a bit slow for me.

This TRULY is a fantastic story, and highly recommended!

lost

The best book, if you have lost a loved one or felt as if your alone. This book is a renewal of life's ever twisted ways and even why we have them. A way to relook at your life in the aftermath. Of a storm.

As the Tide Comes In

Loved the story. Laughed at and with the Glynn Girls. Cried with and for Tara. The tragedy hit home. But the light of God shone through the hearts and trust of Him.

Southern accents too much!

I almost stop listening to this book because of the narration. I think it really took away from the storyline.
