Warning: may cause triggers

These three books were ok, but they addressed depression, mental illness, and suicide that may cause triggers. The first book narrators were not the best and the stories kept going in circles. Each book got better but it was a difficult listening experience overall.

Skipped the first book, couldn’t get past the male narration

Books two and three were very good, I enjoyed them a lot. But, I just couldn’t get past the male narrator for book one. I ended up skipping it at chapter 4.

Don’t bother

I’m a huge Sebastian York fan but the other performers were not as good, some it was painful to listen. The stories were way too drawn out and predictable.

I think performance ruined this book for me

I’ve enjoyed over 12 books by this author, this series was ruined for me by the performance. I was not able to continue it. I understand it was an emotional book of learning to cope and thrive while dealing with trauma and mental illness, loving one another with imperfections, but the voice made it overly dramatic and depressing; even what was intended to be joyful moments were made to sound the same as when she was at her worst. It’s a no go for me, mainly because of performance.

NOT WORTH THE CREDIT!

This series is just a grade above awful 😣…especially Book 1! I bought this series because I knew Sebastian York and Emma Wilder (2 of the very best) were narrating the 3rd book. Even they could not save it. Book 1 left a bad taste in my mouth it took me 3 times longer than necessary to finish. The male narrator was sooooo bad, I felt like I was listening to Jack Webb in the Dragnet TV series…Just the facts mam. Yes, I realized I have just aged myself.

Sometimes it’s the writing, sometimes it’s the story, and other times it’s the narrators. Book 1 was a combination of all. Book 2 was better. Book 3 was above better, but less than good. I can’t blame Sebastian and Emma for the writing.
