About this listen

Sisters Andrea Flynn and Kathleen Williamson are volunteers with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, and they're determined to solve the murder of Lea Logan, a young waitress at the Martindale Country Club.

It appears Lea might’ve been the mistress of a local big shot, but did that contribute to her death? The murder happened nearly five years earlier, and now the sisters must jog fading memories and scramble for clues in a case gone cold.

Soon they discover the long-dead body of a second victim, but complications in the form of password-protected computer files and a bugged office prevent them from identifying the killer. Andrea and Kathleen are persistent - but can they solve the case without putting their own lives in jeopardy?

The series keeps getting better

Evil under the Moon is #5 in the Moon Mystery Series by Helen Haught Fanick. As it started, I thought to myself “what happened with…” and I got my answer. Andrea and Kathleen, sisters and sleuths, are now volunteers with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, reviewing cold cases. Their first case is a murder of a waitress working at the Country Club. Through their dogged determination, good instinct and skills, they end up uncovering and solving several other related crimes also! The sisters are a good team and I like their camaraderie. The other characters are also likable and relatable. The well written story, the 3-D characters and a good mystery result in an enjoyable and engaging book! The narration by Elizabeth Arendale was wonderful! She brings the characters and story to life and adds to the enjoyment of the story.

excellent

Another tangled web of deceit and a couple villains revealed. I was way off base in my guess as to who done it. It was disheartening to find out Leah's killer. Greed has its' own rewards and downfalls!! I enjoyed the journey. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

The Moon see all

Evil Under the Moon is Book 5 of Moon Mystery Series by Helen Haught Fanick. Sisters Andrea and Kathleen are now volunteers with the Sheriff's office looking into cold cases. I really enjoyed this story. The characters are so believable and the mystery is good. The murder was old and the killer did not want anyone snooping into the killing. As with all good stories, there are several illegal things exposed and Helen Haught Fanick wrote a good tale. Book 6 should be outstanding. Elizabeth Parental gives a wonderful performance as the narrator.

Great as always!

Try as I might, I can't seem to find anything wrong with these books. They are great and a refreshingly clean series of mysteries. Appropriate for everyone. Even the narration seems to be faultless. I know nothing is perfect, but if their are any faults, I can't find them.

Sad it's over

I loved this book. Hearing about how the sisters made good on their promise, became the go to for help and saved the day, it just made me happy. I can't wait for the next book. Krav Maga, Rosie and so many other high and low points. Please write more!

Can the cold case be solved?

This is the fifth in the series and is not set in Canaan Valley. The sisters are looking into a five year old murder of Lea Logan.

There were plenty of suspects, twists and turns to keep me interested. The sub-plots were very interesting. I found Kathleen's lack of electronic/technical issues relatable. I have family members not willing to learn much about their phones or heaven forbid use a computer.

I thought the narrator did a good job to enhance the story. She used many different inflections to portray the various characters.

Looking forward to the next book on audio.
