About this listen

Luca Tallorico: Drummer, hot-tempered, hurt. The pain in his texts spoke to my own. I reached out, secure in the knowledge we would never meet. He had different ideas. He makes me feel special and beautiful, and makes promises I’m scared to acknowledge. He tempts me to take a walk on the wild side. But I know if we meet, he'll reject me and walk away.

Ms. Wrong Number: My firefly, my light. My ever after. I was searching for closure, looking for an escape from the all-consuming guilt. Then I found her, by accident, through a text meant for a ghost. She's a small-town girl, and far too sweet for me. But like a brilliant flame, she lights up my darkness. I just have to break through the walls she’s protecting herself with and make her see she is beautiful and bring us both out of the shadows of our pasts.

A steamy second-chance rock star romance. Book four in the Forgotten Legacy Rockstar romance series.

rockstar romance

Exquisite Scars is an emotional story of 2 broken souls with physical and emotional scars.
Luca sends a text to a wrong number. In his darkest moment, Luca finds a flicker of light, when the stranger responded with kind words and a sweetness that he yearned for. He becomes obsessed with this person, wanting to meet her.
Everly, wrapped in her own bubble, likes the way her life is; unnoticed, invisible, uncomplicated, no expectations.
I Love how L. Ann develops the story between the Rockstar and the librarian. Showing Luca at his strongest and weakest moments. He wants Everly to become the beautiful, confident women she has hidden. He pushes her physical, sexual and emotional boundaries as much as she will let him. their connection is electric, the sex is raw, steamy , 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The multi-talented Thomas Locklear narration is always above perfection. His sexy, deep voice is a pleasure to listen to. He brings all the emotions, that makes this an exciting listen. Yes, he is that good! It's AMAZING that he voices all the characters and captures their personalities in the story without difficulty. from the alpha, dominant Luna to the sweetness , shy voice of Everly. and everyone inbetween.
Well done. I was gifted this audio an offered my honest review

OH MY GOODNESS

I think this is the best book of the series. Luca is definitely my new book boyfriend. ❤️ You don't have to read the first three books but you may be a little lost if you don't.

right number

Both main characters were damaged and captured my heart quickly, Luca especially. His patience and vulnerability was endearing. Grandma was toxic, demoralizing, and a piece of work. Judgmental and unsupportive. Grr.. This was a complex multilayered journey that went far beyond the superficial aspects, and I enjoyed the depth with all the highs and lows. I think I need to check out the rest of this series as this is my first foray. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life. Well done.

A wrong number text that changed lives

Beautifully Broken Luca...

This is the 4th book in the Forgotten Legacy series. It can stand alone but is best read in sequence to provide a richer understanding of the dynamics with the side characters and the events that lead to the inciting incident(s) of this specific story (primarily book 2 but a little of book 3).

Upon returning from self exile after the death of his bandmate's sister, Luca sends a text directed to the universe (the cell number of a ghost) and is surprised when the message is replied to. Over time, this mysterious wrong number texter becomes part of his life and helps him heal from the guilt he feels. So much so that he wants to know more about her, his Firefly, to thank her for keeping him connected to life when he was in a dark place.

The audio on this book is fantastic. Thomas Locklear has done the whole series so the voices are consistent throughout and his range of characterizations is amazing. I'm always in awe of his female voices (less diverse than his males, but still I can tell them apart when all the ladies are together). This is like full cast in my ears. I am swept away by the story, lost in the emotions (both Luca and Firefly have histories that make my heart clench). I was so close to tears so many times as these two relived their past trauma and worked to bring each other out of it so they could move forward together!

This book (and others in the series) seed drama threads that move towards the series conclusion Book 5 and I'm waiting with baited breath for that audio to make its way down the pipeline.

Luca and Everleigh, his Firefly

Well here we are with book four of Forgotten Legacy and this time it's the turn of Luca the dark and brooding and so far at any rate unknown quantity in the group. I have to admit before continuing that as I've listened to each story I've fallen deeper under the spell of these guys but none more so than the dominant, sexy, damaged, dirty, yet romantic Luca, I loved his story and fell more than a little under his spell.

I don't want to be specific about the storyline because that would spoil it for you but I can safely tell you that when Luca was at his lowest he sent a text to Lexi's old number expressing his feelings, he blames himself for her death, but he sent the text to a wrong number and connected with an unknown woman who talked him down from the edge. They texted for weeks neither knowing who the other was she thinks he's a fighter but he has no idea who she is or what she does, he calls her Firefly. During these texts, a deep connection was made a connection Firefly would rather leave the way it is.

But Luca decides it's time to meet, Everleigh aka Firefly expects it to come to nothing, in fact, she'd prefer not to meet at all, you'll find out why when you read or listen to their story, but Luca manages to track her identity down and turns up at the library. They have already learned so much about each other by then, but she still has no idea who he is and Luca likes it that way, he likes being just an ordinary guy liked for himself alone. These two are perfect for each other despite their very different personalities she's the light to his dark whilst he's able to make her see and become all she is capable of. As he works through the trauma which shaped him she is by his side every step of the way! The connection and chemistry shared by them are palpable and hot, the love they share is deep and abiding - I just loved their story I think it is my personal favourite of the series, I loved it, I laughed and I cried, then I swooned Luca can be so romantic - who would have thought it?

Overshadowing Luca and Ever's story there are problems brewing between Gabe and Harper, problems which have led to the fifth book Broken Halo which I am so eager to listen to. Also in this book, we catch up with and find out more about the rest of Forgotten Legacy and their partners and some questions left hanging in earlier books are answered for us. The Epilogue is not only about Luca and Ever but about all eight of these wonderful characters.

When it comes to the narration by the Oh So Talented Thomas Locklear I'm running out of things to say other than he's wonderfully talented his performance lifted this incredible story to a whole new level, each character is unique and the depth of emotion he manages to imbue into each character couldn't be improved upon, he has worked his wonderful magic yet again.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review

Exquisite Excellence! Amazing Story & Narration🎧

It is great to be back with the mighty fine rockers of “Forgotten Legacy” and I loved everything about this book, from L. Ann’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the amazing narrator who brings it all to life from the pages to the ears. This third book features Luca Tallorico, the band’s bad boy drummer, still hurting over Lexi’s death, he is fighting out his anger in the cages. He still sends texts Lexi and one night he get a response, knowing it is not her he realizes he entered the wrong number but he continues to have conversations via text for the next few months and it has come to the point where he wants to meet her in person. He finds out where she is and lets her know he is coming to Dove Creek to see her. Everleigh Dakota Johnson is a librarian who lives a simple life, she works and goes home to help take care of her Mom who is wheelchair bound from a car accident, the same accident that took her husband’s life and severely injured Everleigh. Everleigh has lived with her scars since she was a young girl, she has been bullied and made fun of and even her own Grandmother has made her feel less than with her comments about her looks. She lacks self confidence and he insecurities get the best of her, she is hides her scars and rarely looks anyone in the eye. But she has a heart of gold and when she received that text she could not ignore it, the sender sounded despondent and troubled. It was nice for her to get to know him but she is afraid of what he will do when he sees her. Luca does not see her scars he only see her beauty, he was concerned about what she would think when she saw him, would she recognize him, would see him differently and start acting like a fangirl. But she does not recognize him for the rocker he is and he keeps under the radar so no one around gives who is away. He does not want her to know until she really knows him because he is afraid his fame might scare her away. l loved how everything played out in this book, the complexity and depth to these characters is remarkable and it is great to see the layers unfold. Luca and Everleigh’s story is beautifully plotted, in addition their romance we are taken back in time for glimpses of his past, what happened to his brother and why he severed the relationship with his family. There is a lot going on with Gabe and Harper which is breaking my heart, I hope the audiobook happens soon. L. Ann, you rock, thank you for another brilliant story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I love these characters, the camaraderie amongst them and the “Forgotten Legacy” world you created.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the outstanding narration, Thomas Locklear is a rock star of a narrator, his talent knows no bounds, he is exceptional at covering the roles of all the characters and is fabulous performing both the male and female voices, giving each their own distinct sound, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays and sounds believable in every role. He sets the perfect tone for the story, handles the back-and-forth dialogue with ease, never missing a beat. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance. Thomas Locklear is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Luca is amazing

I knew before I started this book that it was going to love it and as expected L. Ann did not disappoint. I keep thinking that her writing and story-telling cannot possibly get any better but it does each and every time.

I knew it would be one that I would drop everything to read. I wanted to slow down and savor the story but I could not put it down. This book is straight up addicting and I loved every second. I loved the chemistry between Luca and his leading lady. Everyone needs a Luca in their lives.

Exquisite Scars is book 4 in the Forgotten Legacy series and can be read as a stand alone, however there is crossover into the previous books in this series and you will enjoy the book even more if you read the previous books.

This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger and we get to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series.

I’ve read all of L. Ann’s books, and this audio book does not disappoint.
