About this listen

A virus released from the permafrost leaves humanity’s survival on a razor’s edge–and Hannah Aldeen’s family in the crosshairs of an unrelenting threat.

Humanity is on the brink of extinction. Half of the population has already perished, and the remaining survivors are divided into two groups–the immune and the Ragers.

Hannah Aldeen thought she had it figured out. Living in her fortress-like home in upstate New York, she’d prepared for the worst that climate change could throw at her. But nothing could have prepared her for the terrifying reality of a global pandemic.

Now with the Omega Corporation hot on her heels, Hannah must fight to keep her family safe from the clutches of a ruthless enemy. She doesn't know why they're after her, but she knows that she will stop at nothing to protect those she loves.

As the clock ticks down and the threat of annihilation looms large, Hannah must make impossible choices and take extreme measures. She'll have to push herself to the limit and beyond, facing danger at every turn in a race against time to save the only thing that matters–her family.

With heart-stopping action and pulse-pounding suspense, Extinction Threshold is a gripping tale of survival in a world gone mad. Hannah's story will leave you on the edge of your seat, breathless with anticipation until the very last seconds.

I hate zombies

I hate zombies, zombie movies, etc. they are boring and unrealistic. BUT, this story makes it real, makes it fearsome. The narrator KILLED this story pun intended😂 She made it so entertaining and the book itself was well detailed and fun! Glad I gave it a listen!!❤️

global warming releases next pandemic virus

I thoroughly enjoyed this take on a zombie virus released from the permafrost as a result of global warming. Very relatable characters from scientists to journalists to fabulous.

Wow

Wow what a good read I enjoyed the book and the audiobook. If it wasn't for our book club I would have finished the book the same day I started. What I liked was that there was lots of action as well as moments where I wanted to cry. This book isn't all action and no hart. The found family aspect of the book I also like. And then we have the narration so good, I can't wait to listen to more book she narrates.

Good zombie-style story with room to grow

Read this book for a book club recently. Not one I would have read on my own, so I'm glad to have something to help me find new stuff to read. The premise of this book is decent, if not standard at this point. Think about if 28 Days Later was mixed with Resident Evil with a bit of The Day After Tomorrow sprinkled in for... reasons? Don't be intimidated by the amount of Chapters. Each is only a couple of pages/few minutes long.

The narrator, Amelia Hugh, did AMAZING keeping the story going for me. Not sure if it was one I would've finished on my own if it wasn't for her performance.

Overall, it's an alright read if you like standard Zombie-apocalypse style books with a couple of surprises here and there.

Brilliant Narration

Amelia did a phenomenal job making you feel as if the story was happening in real time around you. Every ounce of action or heart felt sob. This story was pretty good. I did feel as though the ending was rushed to finish. The best climax you've been waiting for for the whole book and it was quickly dealt with to wrap it up. But even so, Amelia did amazingly incredible job to make sure you knew exactly what was happening.

Please send more!

Usually I wait until a series is a few books in before I buy. But I didn’t see any other ones I was interested in. So I got this book. And I loved it. Everything zombie fan would like. And very heartwarming. It’s a book about grown-ups for grown-ups. I’m not a writer, so it’s hard for me to explain. I just know I didn’t feel like a teenager with writing the book or the book was written for a teenager ha. Anyway, please write more soon. Please!

Fantastic Narration!

I thought Amelia Hugh did a fabulous job telling this story. She made the tense moments even more tense with her delivery, made the sad moments feel like I was feeling exactly what the characters were feeling, and had me itching to get to the next chapter. There was a lot of science jargon at the beginning and end, but she made it digestible through her calm and succinct delivery.

I had a few issues with the story itself, but those were curbed by the dynamic performance of the narrator.
