I liked Clover, and I loved Fae's Ascent... This sequel did not disappoint at all...

The book starts at the point Clover ended, and is action packed throughout... The reader gets more than just Clover in this book... Many other characters' stories add so much more to the adventure... and there are some amazingly unexpected twists...

The narrator continues to bring the story to vibrant life...

I have never been one to enjoy fantasy books. This story line was so good and moved right along. The narrator did a wonderful job with the voices for each character. Five stars from me.

Overall: A great story, really brought to life by Alling’s narration.

Story: I liked this story better than book one, and didn’t want to stop listening once I started. I love the mix of adventure, love, and friendship in this. Seeing Clover evolve into a strong young woman from the somewhat rebellious at times teen has been wonderful. Her journey to find balance and learning to use and control her powers was absolutely captivating. And who can forget the amazing characters that surround her! The perfect follow-up to book one!

Narration: Listening to this story is like watching it unfold in front of you. Alling does a great job of conveying the mood and vibe of the story, and making it easy to differentiate between characters. An excellent performance, I’d absolutely listen to more books narrated by Alling in the furture!

Rarely does a sequel live up to the series starter the way Fae’s Ascent does! I loved the world Nicole Kirkpatrick created in Clover and I am enchanted by how that world has expanded and grown in Fae’s Ascent! Familiar characters are back and I loved getting to know them better and being along for the ride as they grew, changed and for lack of a better word, deepened. I won’t go into plot details for fear of engaging in spoilers but I will tell you that there are battles, betrayals, twists, turns, and surprises aplenty in this wonderfully engaging sequel! As with Clover, the narration is unbelievably good with each character uniquely, emotionally, and consistently voiced throughout. This not only kept me throughly engaged, it made listening a purely pleasurable experience! Five stars!
