First audiobook, first Warhammer 40K book, was fantastic. Listened to it during my commutes to work. The narration was incredible.

Would recommend

I am kind of new to war hammer 40K. This with a great story and I'm looking forward to the 2nd part.

Great Story

Great characters and pacing. Wasn't bored for a moment. The villains were good, but one was obvious from the start. That's my only issue. Otherwise good story, would like more.

Great insight into Pskyers and the Sororitas.

Loved this! Never a dull moment with the mystery, action and ways of the adepta sororitas. Suffer not the heretic, the seditionist, the prideful, the warp, or your own folly.

Brilliant look at the Adepta Sororitas. The performance was perfect and gave great voice to all of the characters.

I'm not going to lie when I say I'm a little biased based on the fact that I'm in love with this faction on the table top side of the fandom. As I almost binged the entire book in one sitting trying to paint a squad of retributors. I'm not an expert in 40K lore , however , I think there's enough action and mystery in this book to warrant a listen. The narrator kills her performance, supplying several voices for different characters, while the setting and characters (mainly moriah and her dynamic with variety) kept me interested throughout the entire adventure. The final battle between the Adepta Sororitas , and the big bad is a little short . But that's a small complaint for my overall satisfaction with the book. I hope this review helps you find your niche in the fandom, and remember, in the 41st millennium know only war 🤙🏼

Pleasantly surprised

I read this to get an idea of what the sisters of battle were, and I got it.

predictable but pleasant

This audio book was solid. I thought the narration was very good. Emma Gregory played the different characters well, giving them life through her portrayal. The story was fun, for me the highlight being the battle scenes. The ending fell a little flat for me, but it kind of lends itself to the endless war of the far future theme of 40k. Overall I liked the book, but it wasn't the type I couldn't stop listening to, but I can see myself listening again.

entertaining enough

This was my first Black Library book, and I have to say, I was not disappointed! The story was absolutely beautiful, and perfectly highlighted the Adepta Sororitas' faith and battle prowess, without making them seem overpowered. The voice acting was also wonderful, each voice was unique and full of life. Definitely recommend!

A gripping story of triumph and defeat
