About this listen
In the epic finale to the #1 internationally bestselling Fallen Gods trilogy that started with Godkiller, the fate of Middren hangs in the balance as mighty gods and mortal heroes clash in a final battle for supremacy.
War has come. The fire god Hseth is leading an unstoppable army south, consuming everything in her path. Middren's only hope of survival is to unify allies and old foes against a common enemy.
Elo navigates an uneasy alliance with Arren—his friend, his enemy, and his king. Now they each must decide how much they're willing to sacrifice to turn the tides of war.
Meanwhile, Inara joins her mother on their ship, the Silverswift, to seek aid. Still grappling with her powers, Inara must reconcile who she is and where she belongs, while Skediceth has to question if their bond will be enough to keep them safe.
Kissen has no allegiance to the old ways of Middren. But, as she tries to find her family, she is forced to question what, and whose, future she is fighting for.
In Faithbreaker, Hannah Kaner delivers a powerful conclusion to the Fallen Gods trilogy, masterfully weaving together love and sacrifice, loyalty and betrayal, and the true meaning of faith.

Story
Having a mom like Izzy meant Mia had to grow up fast. No extracurriculars, no inviting friends over, and definitely no dating. The most important rule: Tell no one of Izzy’s hunger—the kind only blood can satisfy. But Mia is in her twenties now and longs for a life of her own. One where she doesn’t have to worry about anyone discovering their terrible secret, or breathing down her neck. When Mia meets rebellious musician Jade she dares to hope she’s found a way to leave her home—and her mom—behind. It just might be Mia’s only chance of getting out alive.

Story
Hundreds of years after the end of the world, the Appalachian community of Iron Hollow finds itself beset by demons. Such horrors are common these days in the outlands, where most folks die young—if they don’t turn into monsters first. When a legendary knight is summoned to hunt down the latest unearthly beast to haunt their woods, the town’s new oral historian, Shrike, has more reason than most to be concerned. Because that demon was her wife. And while Shrike is certain that May still recognizes her—that May is still herself, somewhere beneath it all—she can’t prove it.

Story
The port city of Hainak is alive: its buildings, its fashion, even its weapons. But, after a devastating war and a sweeping biotech revolution, all its inhabitants want is peace, no one more so than Yat Jyn-Hok, a reformed-thief-turned-cop who patrols the streets at night. Yat has recently been demoted on the force due to “lifestyle choices” after being caught at a gay club. She’s barely holding it together. When she stumbles across a dead body on her patrol, two fellow officers gruesomely murder her and dump her into the harbor. Unfortunately for them, she wakes up.

Maddileh is a knight. There aren’t many women in her line of work, and it often feels like the sneering and contempt from her peers is harder to stomach than the actual dragon slaying. But she’s a knight, and made of sterner stuff. A minor infraction forces her to redeem her honor in the most dramatic way possible, she must retrieve the fabled Fireborne Blade from its keeper, legendary dragon the White Lady, or die trying. If history tells us anything, it's that “die trying” is where to wager your coin.

Cordelia knows her mother is . . . unusual. Their house doesn’t have any doors between rooms—there are no secrets in this house—and her mother doesn't allow Cordelia to have a single friend. Unless you count Falada, her mother's beautiful white horse. The only time Cordelia feels truly free is on her daily rides with him. But more than simple eccentricity sets her mother apart. Other mothers don’t force their daughters to be silent and motionless for hours, sometimes days, on end. Other mothers aren’t sorcerers.

Story
Cailleach, goddess of winter, was not born to be a blight on humanity, but she became one. She would say with scorn that it was their own fault: mortals were selfish, thoughtless, and destructive, bringing harm to each other and the earth without cause or qualms. One day, Cailleach goes too far. Thousands die, lost to her brutal winter. In punishment, her mother Danu, queen of the gods, strips the goddess of her powers and sends Cailleach to earth, to live and die as the mortals she so despises, until she understands what it is to be one of them.

Happy to see this one through.
The one of many things I appreciate about this author‘s writing is that they don’t get too lost in the sauce of the details between some plot points. And sometimes I wish that they did. Particularly in travel, large scale fighting and when things are wrapping up and the story progresses. I can’t say that resolutions feel entirely rushed, but sometimes they feel incomplete. The lore and build up pulls you in, and then a chapter change and suddenly that thing is so done and it’s been either resolved off camera so-to-speak, or was almost an aside.
But, I’ll say that is more of a me thing and not a knock. Hannah made something beautiful, compelling and rich tapestry of lore. I’ll be keeping an eye on whatever comes next from Hannah. Cheers and enjoy.

Incredible series
This series is amazing from start to finish. I am an avid fantasy reader and this series, from beginning to end, is literally perfect. The characters are complicated, deep, flawed, hopeful and it’s a beautiful thing to experience. The world of gods is unique in a sea of books full of tropes and the story telling feels both sophisticated, modern, and complete. Perfect ending.. I was so emotional! 10 stars! I hope this author has another enthralling story in the works for us.

The perfect ending.
Everything about this was perfect and I love this narrator. I cried, I laughed, I giggled and kicked my feet. It was all I could ask for in a conclusion to the trilogy.

Incredible series, amazing characters, and unparalleled world-building.
In this series, Hannah Kaner does such an amazing job building a world you feel you could step right into, and characters rich with depth. I have listened to and read the first two books several times over already, and having just finished the final book, i am starting the whole series yet again, i can't get enough!!

My kinda story
I’m picky about readers and I’m enthralled with this one. Strong women characters, gods, pirates, knights and the effects of trauma make this a great journey
