Publisher's summary

Just as this nightmare began, I once again find myself bound, destination unknown. However, this time, my kidnapper is the man who shattered my world beyond repair.

Aleksei Popov - Russia’s number one mobster, and the man I was sold to.

His intentions for me are clear - submit, obey him, and call him master - but I won’t surrender. I’m not like the other girls. Whether that’s a blessing or curse, I’ve yet to decide. The problem is, my disobedience intrigues my captor all the more.

When we arrive in Russia, the rules change.

Saint, the man who was once a sinner, is my only salvation. What was forbidden now gives me hope that there is light in the darkness. He will risk everything to set me free.

But behind these opulent walls, things aren’t what they seem, and when the fine line between pleasure and pain begins to blur, only one thing matters - saving my soul.

I will lie. Cheat. Steal.

I was once an angel, but now...I’m a fallen saint, ready to inflict my own pain and burn this hellhole to the ground.

FALLEN SAINT is a DARK ROMANCE containing mature themes that might make some listeners uncomfortable. It includes kidnapping, captivity, strong violence, mild language, and some dark and disturbing scenes.

This twisted tale is not intended for the faint of heart...it will steal your soul.

"Sinful and compelling, Bad Saint takes you on a darkly romantic, emotionally tense ride that will leave you aching for more." (New York Times best-selling author Elle Kennedy)

Bad Saint is a dark and emotional romance that you are sure to love." (NYT & USA best-selling author Kylie Scott)

"Shipwrecked on a deserted island with a beautiful, tortured villain? Sign me up!" (K.A. Tucker, USA Today best-selling author of Ten Tiny Breaths)

Fallen Saint...getting better

I'm glad I didn't give up as book 1 was really hard to get through. Book 2 finally is more believable although I still wanted to snap Willow's neck. I'm praying she grows some strength in the last book.

The love of Saint and Willow is ripe for a HEA!

An ethics prof's wet dream and a woman's nightmare

The title of my review is deceptive; I couldn't love this book much more than I do. But poor Willow has been put in some impossible situations and her resilience is testament to how much a strong female character can make a series shine. The duality of these characters is so intriguing that the ethics dilemmas brought up are fascinating to try and comprehend. The mish-mash of these characters' personalities and their capacity for kindness, cruelty, and everything in between is pure brilliance. Bravo, Monica James. I feel like I'm on a train hurling toward the end of the tunnel and can't wait to get there so my ears can consume the end of the story and the climax that we're all waiting for. The first book felt like a lot of fluff and filler because let's be real, this is a romance series and we all knew Saint and Willow would fall in love so to delay the inevitable seemed superfluous but regardless, this chapter of the story blew me away. I always know a good book by how it affects me; I realized this is an exceptional story when I was actually sad or angry when I heard the narrator talking about a character being wronged or someone finding love in the most unlikely of places. I also had to mention that Aleksi is a bewildering character. He seems the obvious villain to Saint's antihero character, but with the capability to do such violence and damage paired with this inexplicable ability to care for and love others in a way that originally seems incomprehensible... I have to admit that I've started to like him a little. I would even go so far as to say I would love to see him get his own spin-off novel at the end of all this if he can truly change his ways like Saint has tried to do. He's a truly dynamic character with a lot of potential as a protagonist at this point (if he survives the rest of this series). I promise I won't say it again, but this series would be amplified with Saint's perspective on these proceedings and those that will come in the next book but if we don't get that I will shut my mouth and enjoy what I get anyway. I can't wait to see how this all ends and I'm not going to wait a minute longer so I'll just say this: buy this book and you'll be glad you did.

No Doubt About It-A Must Listen Series

I'm not really sure how to write a review for this book that isn't almost word for word what my review was for book one. Monica once again blew me away. This series is AMAZING and I can't wait to listen to book three because well I just HAVE to know what ultimately happens to all the characters I have fallen in love with throughout the first two books. I mean what really happens to Saint and Aleksei..is this really the end of the line? I don't think this is all Monica has in store for us or for them as the case may be. Willow's character has shown so much growth since the first book and even after everything she has gone through she still shows so much spirit and her snark and sass are amazing. I couldn't help but laugh a few times. I never really thought dark romance was for me, but after listening to this book and Bad Saint I'm not so sure that's the case anymore. Monica has managed to write some amazing romance as well as a great suspense story. I can't wait to listen or read more of her books, even after Forever My Saint because her writing is just that good! The narrator in this series is exceptional and really bring Willow to life for me as well as the other characters, complete with the Russian accent!

fell a little flat compared to first

* 3.5 Stars *
I swear, book two’s of trilogies are always cursed. This was still a good continuation of the series but it didn’t have me hooked as much as the first one. Fallen Saint took place at Alec’s compound and pretty much focused on his attempts to manipulate Willow. Willow was still determined to get away and be free, still in love with Saint but it almost seemed like her feelings for Alec began to wobble. I feel like it showed more of Stockholm syndrome which annoys me in many of these types of books… but I guess that's hypocritical since technically Saint kidnapped her in the beginning but he was forced to, Alec just wanted ownership. I have a major hate to love relationship with Saint's sister, Zoe. She is a raging 'B' and I just want to throat punch her for everything Saint has given up and done to free her from Alec but she stays devoted to him. Throat punch aside, she really does add some excitement in this drawn out book... she's got a crazy side and I am curious what she was like before Russia! I almost want to bring the rating up to 4 solid stars just for the ending alone... talk about CLIFFHANGER!! I knew it would end in one just like the first book but even though I saw the ending coming (hello, there is a third book) I had to jump into the final book right away and know what was going to happen! Fingers crossed for a strong ending for Willow and Saint!!

Yvonne Syn continued to narrate the trilogy and does and amazing job! She captures Willows struggle and turmoil wonderfully!
