About this listen

Hostility hit a peak during Term 4 of Fate Hollow Academy.

Supernaturals split with opinions for the hierarchy being abolished, sowing seeds of discord in an already divided people. The dragons of Blezen implanted their DNA into their supernatural allies, but their plan wasn’t producing the dragon mutation they’d expected. Their only hope to have the dragon utopia they craved was to take possession of the supernatural relic.

The humans and supernaturals fought at the site for the supernatural relic, a relic capable of wiping magic from Kalista. The three sides of this war were at perilous odds, but whoever ended up with the relic would win the war.

But the war wasn’t the only threat. My rejected mate altered his course with the dragons and desired to corrupt me with the dark magic running through his veins so we could make a new type of supernatural—supernaturals that wielded dark magic. I may have strengthened my magic and ability to fight, but fighting against dark magic itself was inconceivable.

We had most of the supernaturals on our side. Numbers didn’t always equal strength, but when a new faction appeared with someone I’d thought I had lost, they came with inside knowledge and the technology needed to destroy the supernatural relic.

Great New World

I loved this series. I wish the narration had been done in duet, but these two are a great combo. I have a number of series narrated by them. I loved the ending. Each one had their own personal battle. Then the epilogue was fantastic. This is something I can listen to again.

Love love love

I absolutely love the series. I love the ending of it, and I love that the author gives you a peek into the future of how happy they are in their lives.

Performance

The two performers were absolutely amazing at pulling you in to the story line along with adjusting their voices from both the accents to what was happening in the story.

4 stars.. story got better in this one

This book was better than the last two and I enjoyed it. Wren found a little bit of strength and wasn't completely worthless and helpless like she was in the previous 2. She was still very whiny, but not like she had been in the past. There was a bit more going on through this book; we got more of the storyline. I still think there were too many s*x scenes; not as bad as previous 2 though, where they completely lost the storyline. I still feel like some of the male characters weren't given the some attention or spotlight like others and seemed to just kind of exist in the background but not as much part of the harem. I think that's a problem with having too many in the harem; some were basically left out and some had way more interaction and time with the FMC. The epilogue was great and it was fun to see how their family ended up. Overall, I think this series had great potential with its storyline but ultimately fell short, as for most of the series was spent in detailed s*x scenes and completely lost the storyline. Then, there wasn't really a main event. It seemed so minor and was glossed over and things wrapped up and solved fast at the very end of the final book. It felt rushed and anticlimactic.

The narrators did okay, however the female was still super whiny in this book and it got old and hard to listen to at times.

Best supernatural series so far

I really enjoyed how each character was developed, had substance and personality. Each controversy is detailed and plays out to a satisfactory result, not all pretty or perfect but "real" . For added benefit the steamy scenes were well written and the narration was spot on for both rolls, although, Nightshade's voice was too high. Overall, I was invested from start of book one to end of book four. Well done!
