About this listen

Your deceased loved ones are only a whisper away.

They are still here, still with you, even though you cannot see them.

Unlike you, I can see them just fine.

People call me weird, crazy even, but I only want to help the souls who are trapped in between and the loved ones they leave behind. Until my good intentions get me locked away and leave me broken and traumatized. So much so that I swear to never talk to a spirit again.

A road trip through the country—driving away from a home that has nothing left for me—and a night spent in the arms of tequila, help me find myself in the embrace of a strong and handsome fisherman with ocean blue eyes.

The same ocean blue eyes his three brothers have, including the one who is a ghost. He needs my help, but can I leave the shadows of my shackles behind to ensure he will find the light?

Whisper Waves is a medium-burn, spicy, why-choose, paranormal romance. It is the first book of the Soulful Seas Duet and ends on a cliffhanger.

I absolutely LOVED this! Who knew I would love a ghost mmc? Best why choose ever!

This was so good!

We get all the feels in this, loss due to grief of characters passing pre book, warmth and healing from those that got their last goodbye, characters learning to heal and grow, and so much more. I can’t wait for book 2!

Heart wrenching I need book 2!

I absolutely loved this story and the narrators did such a phenomenal job. They fully performed the book, you could hear the hurt and pain and they actually sang too! Ahhhh infinity stars!

SO GOOD

I love duet series of stories. I feel they explain a lot in 2 or 3 books instead of stretching it out until it feels monotonous. I'm anxiously waiting for the second and final book at the end of this month

I read this duet on Kindle a while ago. It was so good I got the Audible book.

I listened to one of her other duets and loved it so now I'm listening to all of them. This book will pull at your heart strings. Not a lot of spice but I love this duet! Narrators are awesome!

Great New Author for me

Sloan, a fiercely independent but deeply wounded woman who can see and talk ghosts—a gift (or curse who drove her right into a psychiatric institution) that has shaped her entire life. After losing her Nan, the only real family she’s ever had, she sets off in her van to scatter her ashes in a small coastal town.

At the end of the road, she meets the four Jones brothers: the flirty charming Nash, his older brother North, a brooding workaholic single dad, Hunter, the kind, steady one with a disability; Saylor, a strange ghost who is still lingering, for unknown reasons and Lio, North’s son who suffers from a serious condition.

The book ends on an emotional cliffhanger, which leaves me a little wrecked and wanting for more.
(Spoiler: Sloan cries a lot. Like a lot. It can be annoying at some point, but that’s a very personal opinion)

A deeply emotional, paranormal why-choose romance

My review is for the whole, highly emotional, Duet as (and thankfully) both riveting books were available so I jumped straight from the devastating cliffhanger ending of book 1 - back into the mix of hurt and toxic emotions coz I just couldn’t wait.

This is a reverse harem PNR.. but it’s so so much more as 30 yo heroine Sloan (and her much loved camper van) finally make it to a small town in Maine. She’s carrying a tonne of baggage, pain and distrust from her past because of what she can do - so now she tries to ignore the ghosts she can see around her. She’s been burned by life and doesn’t put her trust in anyone. And yet, the friend she finds, the brothers she’s drawn to (and fights), the ghosts she helps and the growth they will all have, will lead to a beautiful happily ever after. However, first, her one night stand with 25 yo womanizer/poet/fisherman Nash will soon lead her to the rest of the Jones Fishing dynasty. 33 yo hunky nurturer Hunter.. 35 yo grumpy, single dad/widower, CEO North.. and the brother that’ll steal your heart 💕ghost Saylor.

Worth a credit? I was absolutely hooked and loved it. It’s very much a ‘relationship’ driven story as each of the character’s personalities, pain, challenges and character developments slowly get unfurled.. along with the attraction, friction, heartache and heartfelt emotions they feel. It’s chemistry, it’s like, it’s loathe, it’s attraction, it’s loss, it’s fighting against and fighting for, it’s fractured, it’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s sad, it’s warm, it’s light, it’s deep, it’s delicious, it’s ‘hold your breath’ tense at times, it’s sexy and sweet.. and yes, for me, it’s very very creditworthy. There’s sensual and smouldering tension, some sexy times but it’s not at all drowned by it and there’s no MM.. just a hot MFM. The narrators did a great job bringing the cast of characters to life, injecting all the feels and delivering a five star listen. It’s a nearly 26 hr listen and I’ve got a book hangover as I’ve been invested in these colorful characters all week and Blake Black is a very talented author I’ll definitely be following from now on.

🤍❤️ A UNIQUE, COMPELLING, TOUCHING RH PNR ❤️🤍

The story, the performance, my goodness! What an emotional rollercoaster in the best way. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Just WOW

This was a great idea. I just kept slamming into issues with story points and plot issues.
I get it is fantasy, but when you make auto mechanics and medical issues as major plot points then getting those correct becomes very important. Having someone who knows about engine mechanics and medicine is vital. Having the doctor quote Wikipedia is not the same as understanding differential diagnosis. The non fantasy aspects of the story were where the issues lay.
Ultimately the good performance, nice spice and interesting premise could not survive the repeated WTF full stop moments when I had to just hit pause and come back later.

So much potential, but I just couldn’t finish
