Love Walter Mosley

I really enjoyed this one as I have enjoyed all Walter mostly novels. The narration was spot on.

Another Fearless Jones story

A gripping and well written mystery/thriller set in 1950s Los Angeles.

The writer is extremely talented and I enjoyed the book very much.

This is the third book in Fearless Jones series. I am now going on to read the first one "Fearless Jones".

I love this story

However I did not like the foolishness of Fearless Jones. I did not understand why he would give money back to Men that did not respect him. I could see giving Fryer back his money but not the other men..

Excellent story. Michael Boatman is fantastic. He brought the story to life for me. I will listen to the other Fearless books.

Excellent!!

Another great story in the Fearless Jones saga!! Walter Mosely has a knack for taking you back to an era in time that makes you long for good Jazz and good food while digesting another of his literary delights. He definitely keeps you wanting another!! Well done Mr. Mosely and a special "well done" to Mr. Boatman who brought out the characters as if they were on stage live 👌🏾!!
Hopefully more of his works make it to the stage...they are too good for the screen 😊!!

Another well written tangled web

Walter Mosley does not disappoint. This tale was just as gritty and convoluted as I’ve come to expect from this brilliant author. With all the colorful characters and dark places, this was one of my favorite detective stories (this week...lol).

Mosley’s gift for description, metaphors and analogies never ceases to amaze me. And the way he can give depth to any character with just one sentence is what makes him one of the best writers I’ve have the privilege to read. I always feel like I should take notes while reading his complex tales.

Paris and Fearless are such a great team. I’d recommend this book, and series, to anyone who likes mysteries, black folks, brave folks, scary folks, and levity mixed into the angst.

Michael Boatman was a wonderful narrator. This was great all around.

A lesser work

I have read and loved nearly all of Mosley's detective novels but this is pure formula. Nearly useless, which is a characters's name!
