About this listen
At 45, I finally found my fated mate.
Too bad he’s a feral wolf.
After years of being alone on New Year’s Eve, I finally had someone to kiss.
My new BF took me to a party at a packhouse in the Cascades, Right before the biggest snowstorm hit in decades.
Being snowed in up in the mountains sounded romantic—Until I caught him with another woman at midnight.
In a blizzard of my own fury, I grabbed the keys to his sports car and took off.
But my wintery escape only got me so far, Because I slid off the road, crashed, and blacked out.
I came to in a rugged stranger’s cabin, But it turns out he’s not such a stranger to my wolf.
I was rescued by my fated mate, And with all this snow, I can’t leave anytime soon.
Looks like fate finally decided to give me a break—Until I learn Carter’s more than just a hot mountain man.
And if I don’t get out of here soon, His feral wolf might make sure I never do.
Steamy shifter love scenes and an HEA inside! No cheating between the hero and heroine or cliffhanger in this standalone romance. Listeners 18+.

Tammy and Carter both have demons they are fighting. I loved the evolution of their relationship as they worked to try and find their way to each other completely. This was a great additional to the Marked Over Forty series and I can’t wait to continue to read more about these characters and the packs in town.

I find this series highly addictive, and this ninth book is no exception.
Carter and Tammy's story is an emotionally heartbreaking roller coaster full of twists and turns I didn't see coming. I was captivated from start to finish. The story flows well, and the characters, all of whom we had mostly met before, continue to evolve.
When Carter rescued Tammy from a car she had crashed on New Year's Eve, he had no idea how much his life was about to be forever changed. He got Tammy out of the wreck, and as they say, that was when the fun started. I was easily pulled into their story and didn't want to stop listening. It's another great addition to the Marked Over Forty series and tells how Carter, a feral wolf and single mum Tammy were brought together by fate. But having lost so much in his life already, he was reluctant to admit his true feelings and accept his fate. I'm glad Carter finally found his mate; he's waited long enough.
The narration by Elle Soali is, as always, just perfect.
