About this listen

I always thought I’d start the apocalypse. Instead I’ve been asked to help end it.

How does one stop the end of the world, you might ask? You gotta knock up Lucifer’s vessel before he does.

I know, I know. I was surprised too. But let me tell you, if ever there was an incubus made for the job, it’s me.

With a name like Sin, you’d think this should have been the easiest task I’d ever been assigned. And you’d be correct. Except said vessel is a beautiful and dangerously powerful succubus in her own right. Oh, and she’s not interested.

Not in me or any of the other horsemen who were assigned to protect her. Yup, that’s right. The four horsemen of the apocalypse are back.

War
Pestilence
Famine
Death

She may not be our biggest fan, but one of us has to be her baby’s daddy. Which is why she’s been forced to live with us until we get the job done. We’ve never been very good at sharing. Or at saving things instead of destroying them, but when you know who calls in a favor, you don’t say no.

The Doomsday clock is ticking, so save the world it is.

Now if only we could get Merri to play ball. Because if we don’t find a way to get her pregnant before he does, then it’s not just the end of us. It’s the end of everything.

For fans of Supernatural and American Horror Story, USA Today bestselling authors Meg Anne and K. Loraine are thrilled to bring you the final installment in the Mate Games Universe.

Warning: The Mate Games: Apocalypse is a spicy paranormal series featuring morally gray heroes whose methods of protection aren’t always above board. Not that you can expect much honor from a celibate recluse, an incubus rockstar, the original shadow daddy, and a grumpy ex-Spartan. They are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, after all.

Great combination of steam, spice and sass

This series is not for everyone. Definitely go to the website and check the content warnings before diving in. If you don't love spicy paranormal why-choose epics filled with lust, swearing, fighting, possessive, morally grey guys with accents and supernatural powers, this is not the series for you. If you read that list and said "check, check, check..." welcome, my friend, you have found your happy place.

That said, you want to experience all of these series in order, so go back and experience the other Mate Games series, War, Pestilence and Death, first. It's worth the investment of your time. Then come back here to start Apocalypse. This will then make you go through to all of K. Loraine's and Meg Anne's backlists. Again, worth the investment of your time.

After failing to end the world in the prior three Mate Games series, our fourth harbinger is up. Our female lead, Merri, is not thrilled to learn that she's Lucifer's intended vessel, and she's even less happy to learn that her Auntie Lilith has sent the four horsemen of the apocalypse to guard her. Sin, Malice, Grimsby and Chaos are not who Merri wants to spend her time with at first, but the sparks inevitably fly, and the sparks are giant flames. Given the title, Sin, a lot of the focus is on Sin as the most charming, enigmatic incubus ever tasked with knocking up our heroine before Lucifer gets his hands on her. The charm, flirt and banter just ooze out of Sin, and he was easily my favorite character so far in the series.

The world that Meg and Kim have built throughout these series is just phenomenal and so much fun to experience. Their attention to detail, their creativity, their willingness to go where you don't think they will and take you on a journey that makes you slightly uncomfortable with just how attracted you are to morally grey, makes these series such epic experiences. They create a dirty, flirty, edge-of-your-seat way to escape reality.

I firmly believe this book is best experienced in audio, because the all-star cast that they have assembled for this is one of the best in the business hands down. This multi-cast recording features Stella Hunter as Merri and reprising everyone's favorite Lilith, Shane East as Grimsby and reprising his role as Crombie, J.F. Harding as Sin, Jason Clarke as Chaos, and James Joseph as Malice in the lead roles, with Teddy Hamilton and Christian Fox in featured roles. Did I almost spontaneously combust a few times listening to this cast? Yes. Yes, I did. Did Christian Fox make me not hate the bad guy and sign my own deal with Lucifer? Yessir. Did Stella Hunter make me a jealous, jealous woman? Yes, she did. A+ narration.

That cliff-hanger ending - O.M.G. I need more! Can't wait to see where Meg, Kim, Merri and the four horsemen are going to take us next.

Wow, Another Winner!!

So these authors are amazing! When they write, it’s an automatic download. I was so sad when the mate games ended, but then saw we would get one more series, I was ecstatic! This book pretty much goes a step further with the whole Apocalypse as it’s getting real. I love that we have the original horseman back as I didn’t care for women horseman. It definitely ends on a crazy cliffhanger, which is crazy. Hoping the next book will be out soon, but it will be worth the wait.

Fullcast Duet Audio Perfection!!!

Another great addition to this amazing interconnected mate games series. I love how each chapter is different. Sexy, funny, great plot, great characters, and even better narrators. Never complaints about this series. Always one of my top suggestions when people ask for new books. Can’t wait to continue this last chapter. Hoping there’s a book for each guy.

Time to SIN…an absolute must listen!

TL;DR... THIS. IS. A. MUST. LISTEN. All the stars, peppers, flowers, and other pertinent emojis. ALL OF THEM.

Do I 1000% recommend this book/audiobook without reservation? YES!

Can you listen to it and still be entertained, hot and bothered, and amazed? YES!

Do I want you to promise me you'll go *back to the beginning* of The Mate Games universe and listen, starting with War? Then Pestilence, followed by Death? YES. YES I DO.

If a steamy, twisty, paranormal, why choose thrill ride with four hot, handsome apocalyptic horsemen out to impregnate a sinfully sweet but celibate succubus before the Devil himself can get to her, coupled with an enthralling cast of supporting characters (new and old) are your particular poison, Sin is where it's at.

Authors K. Loraine and Meg Anne unequivocally excel at world building, banter, steam, hilarity, and making you lose all sense of time and reality when reading. They are also the queens of the “WTAF?!” cliffhangers.

But y'all. Y'ALL. This audiobook cast! I want to weep with gratitude over the effort and skill with which these voice actors bring to life these unforgettable characters. This is how it's done, folks.

Stella Hunter, J.F. Harding, Jason Clarke, James Joseph, Shane East, Teddy Hamilton, Christian Fox and Lauren Landa are sublime (and there are a few narrator cameo surprises, too, beyond the credited cast).

The core cast has been doing the Mate Games audiobooks together for years, and it shows. Theirs is a master class in storytelling.

This multi-cast production is seamless, their timing impeccable. I laughed, gasped, and marveled and am now hanging by my fingernails over that ending. Y'ALL.

Run, do not walk to grab this audio!

Always Amazing

Perfection as always!!! From the opening credits to the very last words, this book is filled with every array of emotion. I absolutely loved the cameo chapter with all the former characters coming back and I hope that this stays a constant happening. It just brings back all the wonderful memories of the previous Mate Games books. Pestilence has been my favorite out of them all so having Asher and Remington back for cameos makes me so happy. The entire cast of this series is so phenomenally talented and I am over the moon that Christian has joined the fray. You can do these as standalone series but I personally suggest starting at the beginning especially since this book/inner series seems like it’s going to focus heavily on the past. So amazingly good!
