Publisher's summary

The Fever Hordesman sits outside my house, wailing punny lyrics while beating a rock rhythm on his armor, and I'm late for work. My omega heat’s coming on early, throwing a monkey wrench into my single-minded plan to ignore his single-minded quest to mate me.

I have to admit - privately - his strong jaw, full mouth, and a scent that can send over a dozen omegas into heat, make my girly bits quiver. Just a little.

When the Swarm approaches me with an offer I can’t refuse, keeping Sotay at arm’s length is no longer an option. He’s got something the Swarm wants. If I don’t do as they say, they'll kill my mom.

Once our passion ignites, there’s no putting it out. Except, I'm forced to betray him.

I wanted more

I wanted a bit more spice from this book. I just expected more sass and heat and didn't really get either. It's OK, but really is the weakest book in the series so far in my opinion.

Good narration as usual so no complaints there. If you've enjoyed the series so far you will enjoy this book too (which I did)...I just wanted more.

Funny

This book was so funny; this dude made a art out of taking no for an answer. I thought Sotay’s voice was a bit on the high side, it was hard to take him seriously; even with his hard core promises of what he would do. Narrators were good.

Laughs to heat to intrigue - Best one yet!

Opening scene had me snort laughing. Let's just say it's an ongoing grin throughout the book & leave it there. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Love the way we see more alien tech, learn more about Dreixx and the Teleans, and lots more about the Swarm. If you're a regular fan, you'll be glad of this. If you're new to the series, dive on in. It's not so "insider" that you won't be able to figure out the back story to the books.

The characters - I've been waiting for Fever. Yum! But lots of follow up from the rest as the whole ensemble moves forward. Plus Seer plays a part. Nice foreshadowing for future listening.

This author just gets better and better with each book. If you haven't tried her yet, dive in! The listening is fine!

My name is Fever 🤣

This by far is my favorite novel in the series thus far! I started with the first of the Alpha series and continued. Milana Jacks is now one of my favorite authors and the narrators Ava Lucas and Gary Bennett are amongst my top three.

it's not bad but it's not great either

the love scene are lackluster and the relationship not really flushed out. it's would be better if they focused more on the story or the love. Because they can't do both. like I said before it's all just kinda good no part was great or would make me come back for another read.

Big Disappointment

I love sci-fi romance but this felt like an elementary attempt at it. Read the Horde Kings (Zoey Draven) series or Hearts of Stone series (Miranda Bridges) instead. The romance was lacking and both the characters & love scenes were under developed.
