About this listen

Former vice-chairman of the U.S. President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy, John Hope Bryant, delivers an accessible and powerful resource for everyday Americans seeking to build a strong financial foundation. This book is an easy-to-follow first step toward a fulfilling financial future, helping you understand your relationship to work and money.

With an insightful foreword by Doug McMillon, president and CEO of Walmart Inc., you'll learn how to create wealth for yourself and your family, regardless of your educational or employment background, and how to establish a financial mindset that contributes to a sound future. You'll also discover the answers to tough money questions, including the actual utility of new financial inventions like cryptocurrency; how to think about exchanging your time and effort for money and the conditions under which you should agree to work; and plain-English discussions of the principles of responsible long-term investing and how it differs from speculation.

Acting as a critical pillar for those seeking to build a rock-solid financial foundation, Financial Literacy for All is a must-have book for working professionals, blue-collar workers, members of young families, and established businesspeople looking for a better, more secure future for themselves and the ones they care about.

Basics

I think the topic of financial literacy for all is awesome but the content never expanded beyound having a 720 credit score. Knowing that we are to focus on acquiring and saving income what is the next step? How do we grow what we have acquired through hard work and entrepreneurship?

Financial Literacy for All

This book is a “must have” indeed. I listened to it and listened to it again. So much to glean. I loved his love for learning, his family education and upbringing. I especially appreciated the section on America’s history including the evils of redlining, reconstruction and the pure horrors of Jim Crow. Oh🤭 how I remember my own family as well as the stories they shared.
It is no wonder John Hope Bryant is such a leader. His hunger within grabbed him early on and he would not let that hunger go.
Thank you Mr. Bryant. I love and appreciate this book. It will be added to my home library and will be a gift to my 19 year old grandson for his upcoming birthday. ❤️

Financial Literacy For All

Breathtaking, I enjoyed learning from John’s past and personal life. He shows vulnerability. Also, he gave simple advice on how we can fix the problems. Thanks, John Hope Bryant
