About this listen

On nothing more than a lark, he leaves his family and begins a journey from Ohio westward. Along the way, he runs up against badlands and bad men, loses his freedom, gains his freedom and learns the first rule of the frontier: do whatever it takes to survive.

With ruthless enemies after him - both white men and Indians - he’ll head for a place as brutal as it is beautiful - the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Two years later, he will come back down from the mountaintop with new skills and a new future as one of the most feared and admired men of his time...a man called Preacher.

Mountain man Preacher's plans to attend the annual rendezvous are changed when he agrees to lead a train of 60 wagons on the last leg of the rugged trail to Oregon, confronting scheming outlaws and hostile Native Americans along the way.

Performed by Mort Shelby, Richard Rohan, Terence Aselford, Nanette Savard, Ken Jackson, David Coyne, Christopher Graybill, Johann Dettweiler, Dan Sondak, Tim Carlin, Michael Replogle, James Konicek, Thomas Penny, Michael Glenn, Colleen Delany, James Lewis, Dylan Lynch.

The First Mountain Man (Preacher)

This is the first book about Preacher (Author). Preacher helps a wagon train across the west. There is Indians and White men to fight. There is a gang of white men wanting the women and will do whatever they have to to get them. Preacher shows his skills in fighting and scouting and common sense. This book held my attention from the very beginning. I listened to it all without stopping. I highly recommend this book. It's written and narrated perfect. It's a five star book. This is a movie in your mind (Dramatized) style of book with several narrators and sound affects. I like this style of book now. It is like a movie in your mind. Noisy background

Background noises too high. Can barely hear the story. I listened to 20 seconds and can't take it any more.
