makes you think

alternate reality is everywhere and nowhere. It's only 17 minutes long but I have thought about it for hours

A good short story

Clear narration, easy-to-follow plot, and a little bit of classic sci-fi creativity. This is a good tale for bedtime or for any short break, especially if the day happens to be...foggy!

Not sure what to think of this one

It was well written and kept me going since I was curious to see where things would end up. I'm just not sure I was satisfied with the ending. Too much of a loose end, no explanation. This could very well be a weird dream you have when traveling on business, or a script originally written for the Twilight Zone. The narration was very good.

Perfect little short story

A Story for Daydreamers

This is a short story for daydreamers. Have you ever sat looking out the window into the fog? In For a Foggy Night, Niven takes this harmless pastime and turns it into something sinister, postulating that the fog appears where multiple universes intersect making it possible to cross over between them.

Intriguing

Clever premise and well performed.
Characters are well developed.
Ending is a bit abrupt and not as logical as the majority of the tale.

Why I don't go out in the fog

This is the story that gave me a fear of fog. It really gives you pause to think. So when the fog is as thick as a cubic mile of cotton I tend to stay put. Lest the universe lines blur and I become stranded in one where they can't read minds.

For lovers of science and science fiction

It was a dark and foggy night. Pinchot’s narration is stellar, as always. Saying anything more would ruin it. This is short enough and free. Just listen already.
