I really enjoyed listening to this book. The authors and the narrator are new to me and I'm glad that I now know their work.

The story is pretty fast paced and that was good. It is well told and the characters are well developed. The narrator did a great job with the story, his pitch was perfect, the pace was great, the voices were clear and fit each character.

The story has wolves, mages, love and pain, and good and evil. So most bases are covered. The angst level is low to medium but I suspect as the series gets further along the angst level will increase.

I look forward to reading/listening to futures books from this pair and to future works from the narrator.

Overall I loved this series. The book is well written, and legit questions that popped in my head (thinking about the characters situations) as the book went on were answered~ I love the concept that Mage's live longer than wolves, and that it the characters face their problems instead of letting them linger. My only problems are that book 3 is not on audible yet (or even out as of this review), and that I wanted the book to last longer. Honestly, this series was a fun read and it the book moved at a great speed.

The narration was great loved that I felt the emotions and thoughts of each character. Really pulled me in, like I was there in the book as the events were going on.

I enjoyed the book and it had some good moments, it is typical Liam style. But like usual I am interested in the overall plot line and how it will go. The narrator kept my attention and definitely did a good job of bringing a picture for me.

It's a first in the series, so a good but of setting up with a decent storyline. The narration is alright, not going on the best or worst list. I'm on the dense about continuing or not.

If you're a Kingsley fan or of similar authors, you'll definitely enjoy.

This was a really great start to a series! There was so much angst and passion I didn’t want to stop listening to this once I started. This author and narrator combo did an amazing job with this world and bringing these characters to life! I enjoyed this so much and I can’t wait to listen to other books by this author. I really enjoyed these characters and their journey. Though there were a few times I wanted to scream because of the angst.

Loved the story! It is a relief to finally have a fantasy book that supports the Gay community. BTW, Leo sounds extremely sexy!

Sadly, the reader was extremely quick, I couldn't tell if he was reading the character's perspective or them talking because the reader rarely seemed to take a breath. I had to slow the reading down by .5 in order to understand what was going on.

Other than that, it was amazing! I fantasize about having a man in my life like Leo!
