Publisher's summary

War is coming and I’m about to risk everything.

Since returning from the Umbra Estate, I’ve traded one prison cell for another. Dax keeps me under guard, tracking my every movement. He says he wants to be with me, but I know he wants to use me for whatever dark power he thinks I possess.

The mating bond gets stronger by the day, pulling me to Madoc. I can’t be with my mate, but I can’t be with Dax, either. Both options will bring me nothing but heartache and ruin.

My only chance is to get away from the pack I worked so hard to join. But before I go, I must find out about my past. Which means another round of breaking into a building to steal documents.

Just as everything is starting to come together, it all falls apart.

It’s not just my life on the line anymore. It might just cost me everyone and everything I love.

Forbidden Sin is the second book in the Rejected Fate series. It is a full-length paranormal romance. 17+ for dark content, steamy scenes, and language. This is book two in a trilogy and is not a standalone. Mind the cliff.

Just ok

I listened to and read the first book and then this one. Towards the end of this one the story was finally worth it. I hope it continues to go that way. The narration was awful. The voices of the men especially. Weird accents. If you can’t have a man do the male voices then there needs to be another way. It was distracting and took away from the story.

Don’t love the narrator

First, the narrator has the most random accents for characters. Like why does the MMC sound like Dracula? Ivy often sounds like a dumb blonde. And the Alpha of the Umbra pack, sounds like, idk maybe Major Humdinger from Paw Patrol. It’s not good. The story is okay. The writing at times is also a little annoying with “he said”, “she said.”

Just annoying

Constant repeating period an idiot for a character period one chapter. You learned something on why somebody is doing something. And then in the next chapter, it's like the character doesn't remember why that person is doing x and has no idea what's going on. They will literally say the same thing. 10 or 15 times in a single chapter. To me, this seems like it's one of those books where the author just had to fulfill a contract and a word count, and then didnt really care much about story quality or plot. Predictable to a flaw. There was a ton of potential, but it's just like the author didn't know what she was doing when writing this one. Spicy parts are meh at best. Who ever did they narrative should find a new job. This was bad. One of the worst I've ever tortured my self into listening to.
