Publisher's summary

No one is going to tear down the farmland that's been in Crystal's family since the turn of the 20th century - especially not the multimillion dollar suits behind Welco Industries. And until Welco's president meets with her, Crystal wages a fiery one-woman protest to prove she means business. When he finally appears, Douglas Wellington III is far from the elderly curmudgeon she expected. Crystal issues a challenge: spend one week on the land he wants to destroy. He agrees, if only to be alone with her.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish he had read the dairy and that his mother had contact with him. His God father and D could have been his parents since they all needed that family contact bond after what his father did to them all and his children would have had two sets of loving grandparents. W & D or D and C should have taken the sisters in as a surrogate family.

I wish this book had a part two. I wish this book was a movie 🎥 or TV 📺 show.

Good book

This was a good book but the last chapters were drawn out. By the last 4-5 chapters I was barely listening.

Will You Hold on to Dead Relatives Grudges?

The two main characters have strong reasons why they are at odds with one another, but they don't know the history behind the struggle. Again the attraction is strong, they want pursue it, but hold up, the past is splattered with jealousy, mental illness, blackmail and lies. There's at least 4 people who suffered by holding on to past hurts for years. Holding on to those past hurts is such a BIG PRICE to pay. And they all must answer the question, was it worth of the price?

Great Performance, Horrible Book

I really tried to like this one. Shari Peele is one of my favorite narrators. She never disappoints. Unfortunately this book was just bad. The main characters were so underdeveloped. Here you have two good looking, single, successful people that fall in love but the book never explains how. Who they are is never explored. What were relationships like in the past, when did they realize they were soulmates? Questions never answered. Im a sucker for cheesy romance novels but this doesn’t make the cut. Save your credit, I’m getting mine back.
