About this listen

McKenna

I've always had a thing for my best friend's older brother. In fact, I've been planning our wedding since elementary school. Then I grew up, moved away, and studying, and law school became my only focus.

Now that I'm back, the sexy cowboy is everywhere I turn. I shouldn't mind so much as Rip Callahan is all levels of fine. My problem? His presence . . . his attention is sending me in a spin. And our reconnection? It's fast and intense and everything I've ever dreamed of. So why am I getting in my own way?

Rip

I didn't know the first kiss I ever had would still play on my mind over ten years later. But with beauty and brains, McKenna Dawson is under my skin and very much off-limits.

Crushing on my sister's best friend isn't the worst part. That connection? I can't ignore it. Should I fight it? Probably. Do I want to? Absolutely not.

A challenge among friends is all it takes for me to know she's what I've been missing. That and one incredible trip with those same friends means there's no going back. Not for me. It was only supposed to be a weekend, but maybe we were meant to be forever after all.

Not so happy with this book

When I hear about the author, Kaylee Ryan, I think of how many books I have listened to and loved. This one, however, doesn’t even come close to her usual. I’m kind of disappointed because listening to it. I would’ve thought that this was one of her first books ever because it was not so well written. It was almost immature in a way. Now for the part that I think it’s most important. First of all I don’t know how the reading of a book goes so I don’t know how they’re picked or maybe there’s no choice. I always look at the front of the book. I kind of helps me for some reason figure out the attitude or personality. This person in this book is going to take. The guy on the front of the book is very good looking yet. The guy that reads the book is so not even close to what this guy should be read. He’s kind of a steady cowboy guy that sounds like a teenager. Creating the voice of a woman was absolutely horrible. The only good part about the narration is the girls part. I would maybe give it two. The thing that’s bothersome is the story had so much potential but listening to it was like listening to a teenager book and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t supposed to be the case. Sorry, but that’s my feelings.

Not the best…

The story was immature and the narrators were not great for a love story. The way this book was written is not my cup of tea.

Awful voice acting

I usually love a romance book but this one was so cheesy. The voice acting was awful. You would think he would have a deep country accent. Not what I thought it would be.

Ready for you Next Great Read

What would you do if the boy you married at age 6 si the man you still want today. Would you fight for him or let you past baggage make that impossible. These two have to learn how to have a HEA. The narration will add another dimension that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone

Loved the story line

Love the story line. Finished in about 3 days. A little predictable but great story.

It felt like Forever!!

I finished the book because I felt I had to. Found the female voice annoying, like she was trying too hard.
