About this listen

Fall into E. L. Todd’s most popular series, with millions of copies sold worldwide! Follow the stories of a group of friends as they experience true love, real heartbreak, and genuine friendship, in this unforgettable series.

I'm in love with Skye Preston.

The Skye Preston.

The daughter of the wealthiest businessman in the world, and the most beautiful woman I've ever known. Her looks don't compare to her golden heart. And her heart doesn't compare to that big brain of hers.

But I could never tell her.

Because we've been best friends for 20 years.

She has a jerk for a boyfriend, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. The rest of the gang can't stand him, either. But I'm not the kind of guy to intervene. I respect her too much to pull a stunt like that.

But then I spot her at a party, too drunk to even walk. The men are eyeing her like easy prey so I take her home. But when we get there, Skye is different. She looks at me differently. She touches me differently.

And she wants me differently.

All male voices sound really dumb

Narrator did good on female voices, but all the males sounded really really dumb. Even the main guy just sounded stupid making the character seem unattractive. Probably better to read it than listen to it. Story is okay, a little overkill on family love conversations, a lot of that seemed to droll on and on. If some of it had been cut shorter the book would have been better.

Forever and ever

I could not finish the books. The voices were so annoying I could hardly stand it. If you have a good book, you need to hire good voices to showcase them.

The whole immature level of the writing

While the performers did the best they could, I think with the story, the plot, story and characters seemed very child like. I was disappointed with all three stories. I think with a little tweaking of the profanity, this would be a good “introduction to romance series “.

Romantic Adrenaline Rush

These books had a great amount of romance with the added mixture of suspense. The voice acting was also great. One thing I would say could make it only a tiny bit better, would be to have all the male voices played by a male and female by female instead of by chapter. Still amazing though.

Pleasantly surprised

There was unreal naivety, but also depth and richness of the characters. There was earthy humor and the kind of dialog you'd expect from the people in this story. The steam was everything from level 1 to 10. The series is highly entertaining.

Fauna Nyx is so awkward.

The story is ok. The plot is predictable and I think this author's favorite words are, sardonically and incredulously. These words were used about once a chapter and it got to the point I thought I was going to have to start counting how many times it was read. The story has a few good plot twists but they were ruined by the narration of Fauna Nyx. I wont listen to another story that is read by her. The male narrator Nick J. Russo did a much better job made this book tolerable to get thru.

The narration was horrible

The story would have been great but the voices were so fake. I felt like they pulled random people off the street to read the book. When the female narrator did a male voice it was cringe worthy

The friendship bond before relationship

I loved the story line of growing up knowing each other before falling in love.
Parents all being friends
Not sure I like the narrative voice for male character parts sounded like a woman making a man’s voice sorry

Predictable plot & monotone narration

From the beginning I did not enjoy this set or narration. I pushed through & finished the set before giving an honest review. The characters were difficult to get into, & the storyline overall was boring & predictable. Was searching for a romance/passion story to pull me in, & this was definitely not it.
