About this listen

They say there are three things you should do at least once in your life:

Dance like nobody’s watching.
Travel the world.
And fall hopelessly in love.

I aimed to do all three.

I went to Italy to find myself.
But he found me.

It was like a story book, our eyes met across a crowded room. He asked me if I needed help reading the menu. We ate, we laughed, we danced, and I fell. Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan, and we parted ways.

Two years later, our eyes meet across a room again.
Only this time I was on a date with another man.
He went crazy in a jealous fit.

But the man I met then is different now.
He’s colder, harder, and officially one of the most powerful men in Italy.
Dare I say it, even more enticing.

But if you dance with the devil, you get burnt.

And the fires in Italy are scalding hot.

I loved it!!

I loved the duet style narration. Such as great story, now I will need to re-read Ferrara and wait for the Audible version of it!! T.L. Swan never disappoints. Dane Anderson was a absolutely fabulous Enrico and Emma Wilder was a fantastic Olivia ❤️

Enrico and Olivia

The Italian audiobook. Multiple POV. The duet style audiobook took this story to the next level. Narrators Emma Wilder and Dane Anderson took on multiple accents and made each one their own.

Olivia meets Enrico while she's traveling. Their love story is cut short by the death of Enrico's grandfather and father. Sadly, Olivia returns home to Australia, and Enrico is forced to become the head of his family and all of their businesses in Italy. Enrico can't quite let Olivia go though....

This story is gripping, funny, and HOT. JP

Good male character narration

I love TL Swan books. She’s a great writer with good narration and character development. But this one left me flat with lots of holes. What happened to Francesca’s situation? What about Sergio breaking into the house? I usually love her characters but for some reason Olivia was super whiny, some on girl your with the Don! So much could have been better connected. Hoping the next one is better!

Great accent work. Very enjoyable listen

I really enjoyed the performance in this audiobook. I felt like Dane really pulled off the Italian work really well and Emma Wilders Australian accent felt very effortless. The story itself was just the right amount of spicy & dramatic, but I felt the end was rushed a tad. All in all thought, would absolutely recommend.

The Italian

Excellent and emotional. Love how Enrique always said Olivia. Words express their love was for each other. A lot of pain and laughter throughout. A must read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Both narrators were 100% perfect, but the male narrator was hot as h£||🔥😍. This is the hottest book I’ve ever read, I have close to 400 in my Audible library.

Amazing narration but…

I really can’t compliment the narrators enough. It’s duet narration which is my favorite but the performances were perfection. One of my biggest issues was the male lead didn’t have to grovel or really apologize at all despite reeeeally needing to, multiple times. He would just come back to her with an explanation or skirting past actually apologizing and she took him back every time with barely any fight. It was so annoying especially since a lot of his blow ups came off as toxic and at times seemed to scare her. At one point in the story far into the couple being a couple he’s propositioned by a woman and his inner monologue starts out with him thinking about how turned on she was making him and it was made to seem like the only reason he didn’t get with her was because he hated that his dad and grandpa cheated, not because he respected and loved Olivia. It just felt gross. Speaking of grandpa and dad, at the beginning of the book both men were spoken of reverently and then later we learn that the grandpa was kind of a piece of 💩, he regularly cheated on his wife and flaunted it, and there was later reference to him being really not nice. The dad was different since all of his stuff was secret, but the wishy washyness of the grandpa’s character really pulled me out of the story multiple times.
