About this listen

A fallen foe. An unprecedented attack. An unlikely ally.

When a mundane is brutally murdered by a Lycan, the entire community erupts in fury, and an investigation is launched to uncover the truth. The situation escalates when Dimitri launches a surprise attack on the Shadow Bone clan. Has an old enemy risen from the shadows, or has the previous clan head orchestrated these events to throw us into chaos?

Tensions reach a boiling point when the witches reveal their new security force, acting without the Twilight Conclave's approval. The delicate balance between factions teeters on the edge of disaster, and my world is thrown into further turmoil when a mortal attack shatters my family. But as all hope seems lost, an unlikely ally steps forward to offer assistance.

Can I work with Rene’s oldest foe to save what I love most, or are we doomed to ignite a supernatural war that will consume us all?

Find out what prowls the shadows of Black Blossom County by listening to Forty is the New Dead, the new Paranormal Women's Fiction series readers are comparing to Shannon Mayer, K.F. Breene, and Victoria Danann.

Fourty Is the New Dead

“Forty is the New Dead” is Book 1 of the Return of the King series and book 7 of the Magical Midlife Death series. The Audiobook is narrated by Katie Hagaman who always does a wonderful. I enjoyed this spicy, action-packed story in the Audiobook form every bit as much as the eBook form. That I can cook, clean or just relax while listening to it is an added bonus.
Magical Midlife Death is one of my favorite series and I do both read and listen to the stories more than once. I recommend this series, and suggest you start with the first Book, “Forever Forty”, as each book builds on the next. This wonderful series is well worth reading (more than one time). I know you will enjoy every minute of it!.

Forty is the New Dead

Forty is the New Dead book 7 in the Magical Midlife Death series by Tia Didmonand oh boy the action is heating up even more than before and now Lycian’s?! Didn’t Rene exterminate them all? Apparently not and now they’re back with a vengeance! Katie Hagaman does as usual a fantastic job voicing all the characters. I can’t wait for the next book!

Warning: Cliffs Ahead

Gleeful Goblin Review: Oh wowsers, this is a lot of action and story progress in a very short amount of time! The addition of the Lycans into the battle of the species is a new wrinkle AND a benefit simultaneously. It reminded me a good deal of the movie Underworld, which I un-ironically love so I was having a blast listening the whole time. The story will be over before you know it and leave you anxious for the next installment because the end of this tale is a cliffhanger that I can't wait to resolve. 5/5 Stars.

Return of the King

We have action, suspense, twist and turns and politics. Mundanes are being killed? They did not kill all the Lycans and not we have rogues. Can Raven and her group find out how they returned?.

Has me in complete tears 😢 😭

Well there are so many twists you'll think you're reading a pretzel. Bonus you'll likely end up in tears too. I really feel bad for how much Raven goes through. I wouldn't have been able to handle a tiny fraction of what she went through.

Awesome Addition To The Series

This is the 7th book in the “Magical Midlife Death Series.” I had the opportunity to listen to the audio version and I so enjoyed and loved it. If you’re into the paranormal world of lycans, vampires, witches, warlocks etc you’re in for a treat. There is an attack at the club where Raven’s daughter just so happens to be working. This an entertaining action packed read with great characters and a plot that is awesome. Those that once thought to be dead appear. Oh, my oh my, this series is keeping me on the edge of my seat with the cliffhangers. But I’m not complaining I am loving it.

Forty is the New Dead

The seventh story in the Return of the King/Magical Midlife Death another engrossing mystery, drama, suspense filled story. So much is going to have to be overcome. If you have been following this series do not miss this book. It does end on a cliff I enjoyed listening to Katie Hagaman narrate this story.
