Grace is newly retired, and all she wants to do is clean those closets and tackle her to-do list. But the newly widowed Maggie's back in town, and someone has to befriend the crotchety gal. When Grace wants to volunteer as an extra for a movie shoot, Maggie proclaims she's not a fan of "Hollywood", and the town's peace turns upside down. Follow the fun when peaceful Cherryvale meets Hollywood, and Grace, the bike-riding, muffin-baking town organizer, has to choose between her quiet retirement and rescuing a friendship in danger.
With a touch of humor, a smattering of faith, and a glimpse at movie-making glamour, Fresh Start Summer introduces you to the folks living on The CherryPath, a unique artery that stitches lives together as one in heart and mind. You'll adore Cherryvale, where neighbors care, gardeners share, and God allows do-overs.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The story takes you away to a small town where you'd want to live, but there's plenty going on with lots of fun people, and I laughd out loud too. There's a bit of mystery, and pets, horses, and a car chase. This story has it all.Who was your favorite character and why?
I like Maggie because she says what she's thinking! Don't get in her way! What does Connie Ventress bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her voice is beautiful, and she's got the accents for all the characters. If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Lookout small town America, Hollywood's in town and you'll never be the same!Any additional comments?
This is good for all ages, families would even like it for a car ride to get ready for their summer vaca. Gentle fiction at its best.Perfect for a long car ride, or just anywhere
