Publisher's summary

Sade Benjworth has always had her life planned out: graduate college, work for a few years, and then try to find herself a husband.

She's accomplished almost all of her goals—except the husband. She's the last of her siblings to get married or have a serious relationship. It doesn’t help that her mom has put a lot of pressure on her to find the perfect man.

After one drunken night with her girls, Sade decides to reply to Maliek Dubrow’s insta-story being funny.

What she doesn’t expect is the response that she gets from the rapper.

Maliek Dubrow is everything that Sade wants, but is too scared to go after.

He’s not the safe choice that her parents would approve of because of his past.

Sade is used to doing everything that she has been told to do. Maliek is the complete opposite: he's made mistakes and burned his fair share of bridges.

What he does know is that he needs a woman like Sade as his wife.

Good story line

OK, so I love the storyline I did not necessarily like the narrator or the fact that it was just the woman doing both voices. Also didn’t like that at the end prologue didn’t tell us like what happened with her parents and did she ever like men stuff with her mom like what’s going on with the baby that type of thing it’s just kind of like the story still kind of untold. But overall, it was a good storyline.

Replied Hubby

This book was more than I expected. I enjoyed the flow of the book. The father was awful and his wife was just plain SAD. I’m happy that the couple was able to find their HEA. I loved the entire book but especially the end. ❤️

Winston Saved this book

Another cute story but man the writing is cringy. This author repeats words or phrases OFTEN! It’s like that in all the books I’ve read from them . If the character is talking about an interview you’ll hear the word interview 5-7 times in the next paragraph, if not more. I found myself rolling my eyes and saying, “ok, I get it” way too many times. The female narrator had a cute accent and did a good job. The male narrator is one of my faves and helped save the story telling.
