About this listen

I met the love of my life when I was ten years old.

Ever since Talulla Evans walked up to me with her gap-toothed smile and told me her name means "princess," I've been entranced.

For the last twenty years we've been there throughout each other's storms. And somewhere along the line I fell in love. Deep in love.

There is nothing I wouldn't do for her. Which is how I found myself caught up and agreeing to be her FWB, knowing I wanted more . . . needed more.

The problem is: Talulla isn't looking for more. And I get that. She's been burned more than once and isn't trying to repeat the cycle. But it's becoming harder to compartmentalize my feelings for her when all I want is everything when it comes to her.

Contains mature themes.

Good Story

This was my first time reading something by this author. I enjoyed the book and the narration. Tally got on my nerves.

Nice storyline but...

I found it difficult to like the main female character, she was ridiculously selfish. Insecurities and fears of abandonment isnt permission to dismiss the feelings of somebody else, definitely not your best friend of 20yrs
I think the intent of the storyline was on point but the execution made it difficult to want a win for the main female character.

Terrible writing, awful plot, insufferable characters

This book seemed very directionless. It jumps around and switches scenes very abruptly. The female main character never really confronts her demons in a clear or compelling way. The male main character had no backbone and had no development whatsoever. The voice actors did great but the book was confusing and hard to listen to. Feels like we got dropped into the falling action of a story and it just dragged on and on. The spicy scenes were fire though I must admit (random as they were)

To each his own

Just not a good book. I gave it more than a fair chance. The male character was weak, and his narrator voice while a deep baritone, held no emotion. The emotionally damaged female had a list of insufferable ignorant rules. Simply put, this was my first time listening to this author. I won’t be going in for seconds.
