"[A] fast-pitched, funny novel." (Publishers Weekly)
"Hilarious....The uncomplicated plot is developed smoothly with just the right doses of surprise and laughter to keep readers turning the pages. Characters are credible, and never lose their identities." (School Library Journal)

Featured Article: On the Enduring Legacy of Judy Blume

Judy Blume's middle grade and young adult novels have helped raise generations of kids, reshaping the literary landscape for young listeners. Since the 1970s, Blume's writing has contributed to destigmatizing taboo topics like puberty, teen sexuality, masturbation, menstruation, bullying, disability, and more. And now, rather than her books being deemed outdated or no longer relevant to today's kids, we're experiencing a "Blume-aissance."

Really good book

I liked that Judy Blume included baseball. I would recommend this book to my brother, because Fudge and my brother are the same age.
I gave this rating because Judy Blume did a good job changing voices for the different people.

Amazing

Very funny and easy grammer and reading for children. My whole view of the world was changed by this book. A blind man was able to see again because of this book.

Laugh out loud with my kids

I so enjoyed reading Judy Blume growing up in the 70-80"s, so I chose the Fudge series to listen to with my 8 year old daughter and 5 year old son on a 14 hour road trip. We loved this story the best in the series. Blume so expertly enters the psyche of kids. She deeply understands a child's quirky, sometimes morbid sense of humor and she is just so perfectly honest about what it feels like to be 5 or 8 or 10, that we couldn't help but laugh out loud at many points in this book- ALL 3 of us. Blume narrating the series is the icing on the proverbial cake. Truly fantastic! (Even if you have never been to Maine, this vacation-debacle story is relatable to any grown up or kid.)
