About this listen

On a late spring morning, a young man emerges from a wine press and finds himself face-to-face with the Angel of the Lord, who tells him, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand.” And, so starts a wonderous and Holy journey by a humble man with a trusting faith in God.

This book is a bit misleading. It’s a bit about Gideon but that is one part of the whole story of the Israelites. It’s very short and if it was longer, more detail could be provided. It’s more a flyover summary. The narrator is good, as I’ve heard her before. But this isn’t a good fit for her at all. In this work her voice sounds synthetic.

This book is Biblically inaccurate. There is too much fill in opinion versus Biblical facts. Moses did not cause the people of Israel to not enter the promise land, they did not enter in because of their own unbelief not his lack of faith. He did not enter because of his frustration with their lack of faith in God. It was so inaccurate I had to stop before I could finish. Wish there was a way to get my credit back. Don't waste your time.
